Kohnagai Station × Hot spring × Highly rated for rooms and amenities at Hotel·Ryokan

This was an inn I had wanted to visit for a long time. I was so happy that my wish finally came true. The room and the meals were wonderful, and I was completely satisfied. The staff’s hospitality was also excellent—just as I expected. If I have the chance, I would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!!

Let's enjoy crab and visit the Onsen! A charming accommodation with a unique atmosphere. The private bath is incredibly luxurious! The crab dishes are absolutely extravagant! Highly recommended for everyone. It was a luxurious experience. I want to make it an annual event.

This time, three of us stayed here. Thank you to everyone at the front desk and the dinner staff for your kind and helpful service. After arriving, we enjoyed a draft beer as a welcome drink, and dinner—boiled crab, sukiyaki, and the buffet of side dishes—left us completely full. The Room has been renovated as well, which was great. If we visit Tara Town again for an overnight stay, we would choose this Ryokan.

We enjoyed a delicious, filling meal with fresh sashimi, two Takezaki crabs (one male and one female), plenty of grilled oysters, steamed clams, tempura, and crab rice porridge. The Onsen sauna and open-air bath were closed, but the indoor bath had a bubble bath feature, and we went in three times. This is an Onsen Ryokan we would love to visit again.

It was my first time visiting the Ariake Sea in Saga Prefecture, and I was treated to a stunning open-air bath and excellent cuisine. I felt truly sorry for not being able to finish all the delicious food. Thank you to all the Ryokan staff for their warm hospitality. Although the Hotel is old, it has charm, and I found it perfect. I would love to stay here again next time.

It was simply wonderful. At first I wasn’t sure what to expect, but by the time we left, we truly felt, “We’re glad we came.” There was no open-air bath, but the meal was packed with seafood—our table was full. The seasoning was great and everything was delicious. We hadn’t booked a plan that included crab, but we were happy to be served grilled crab. We declined the final rice and miso soup, but they kindly arranged for us to take the fruit dessert back to our room, so we put it in the fridge and ate it in the morning. Breakfast also came with crab miso soup, and the rice was served in a pot—shiny white rice that almost dazzled us (laugh). We finished with coffee in our room. Great value and amazing food. The two staff members in charge of service spoke Japanese very well. Everyone else was kind too, and we had a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

Enjoy the stunning ocean view right in front of you and wash away all your daily stress. I indulged in my favorite Takezaki crab and fully enjoyed Tara! (laughs) The morning coffee was also delightful. Thank you very much. It would have been even better if the amenities were more comprehensive. I wished there were a few more towels available.

Stayed during the May holiday period. The Accommodation is in a remote area, and I felt quite uneasy on the way there, but when I arrived it turned out to be a very large Ryokan. The Room was a spacious Japanese-style room where I could relax, and although some Reviews mentioned the Onsen being a bit cool, it was just the right temperature for me—comfortable enough to soak for a long time. The friendly proprietress was warm and welcoming as well, which made for a calm, unhurried stay. Soft-shell crab tempura was served at dinner and it was delicious, but that was the only crab dish, so it felt slightly underwhelming given how much I had been looking forward to crab. (The other dishes were also excellent, and overall I was satisfied with the meal.) If you’re visiting specifically for crab cuisine, I recommend checking the details in advance.
