I was completely satisfied with this Accommodation! This was my first stay here. After reading Reviews in advance, I saw comments saying it was like a “stink bug Accommodation,” so I braced myself. But it wasn’t like that at all—there were a few stink bugs, but for an Accommodation surrounded by nature, having some insects is only to be expected, and it didn’t bother me. I almost felt sorry that the staff kept apologizing for the stink bugs. The food was absolutely delicious, and I’m very grateful that they sincerely accommodated an unexpected situation where I had to step away in the middle of the meal. The Room had a calm atmosphere with plenty of traditional Uchiko washi paper used throughout, and I was able to relax deeply. Breakfast also had a fun concept where you can compare three different types of eggs—I loved it! This is an Accommodation I’d gladly go out of my way to stay at again!

With the prominent sign and easy-to-park lot, we arrived without getting lost. The staff were pleasant and welcoming at check-in. There was a wide variety of welcome drinks after check-in, and my child enjoyed them after the bath. The bath area was very clean, so we could relax and soak at ease. It seems they prepared a ladies’ Room for us, and I was able to enjoy a luxurious stay with the hair dryer and nano steamer. My child really liked the Hotel and says they want to stay again—if we travel, they want it to be Super Hotel. I also found this to be a Hotel I’d like to use again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

Due to my mother being critically ill, I needed Accommodation on short notice. There were various changes, such as extending my stay little by little and being placed on a waiting list for cancellations, but I truly appreciate your quick and flexible support. All of the front desk staff were kind. The cleaning was slightly lacking, but considering the price, I was fully satisfied with breakfast included. I also became a member, so I look forward to staying again if I have the opportunity.

Close to the interchange, and easy to find. Free parking is right in front. Breakfast is included. Drinks were also available in the space next to the front desk, and we enjoyed coffee and juice. They also sold bread. There were a few places nearby to eat, but the convenience store was a bit far. Very convenient if you’re traveling by car. The Room was spacious and clean. We’d love to stay again when we visit Ozu.

Staying in this renovated historic building was a truly unique experience that we don’t usually get to have. The thoughtful touches were wonderful, and the staff spoke to us kindly and warmly. Breakfast was also very delicious.

It was my first trip to Uchiko. I’m so glad I chose this Accommodation! I was very satisfied with the kind service at the front desk, the comfortable renovated Facility, and the stylish Room. I’d even come back to Uchiko just to stay at this Accommodation again. Even though it was a cold winter season, we stayed wonderfully warm with floor heating and a kotatsu—it was perfect. We stayed in a budget-friendly bunk bed room for two people for one night, and the room was clean and surprisingly comfortable. The highlight was the amenities, which clearly reflected the owner's attention to detail. The quality of the provided shampoo and other toiletries was excellent, and the rented bath towels were impressively soft. Additionally, the water-related facilities were highly efficient. Not only were showers separated by gender, but there was also a spacious powder room where you could take your time drying your hair. Moreover, a digital board displayed real-time shower availability—a groundbreaking feature that was incredibly convenient. There is a free co-working space and water dispenser available, along with fully equipped kitchenware. Every detail has been thoughtfully arranged from a guest's perspective—this is definitely an accommodation worth revisiting! Although we didn’t get to use the bar on the first floor this time, we enjoyed coffee and snacks before departure! It was delightful chatting with the owner as well. Please note that the bar operates only when guests wish to use it; if you'd like to visit it during your stay, it's recommended to inform them in advance!

We stayed as three families, and it was very convenient: we could secure separate bedrooms, and there were two bathrooms, two sinks, and two toilets. The kitchen is simple but easy to use, and we enjoyed relaxing meals while watching the kids play on the hammock in the next room. There was no explanation of the Diamond benefits, so we weren’t sure about the checkout time, but we ended up needing to leave early anyway—so it worked out fine! Highly recommended!

I made a Reservation for “Uchiko no Yado Kokoro” and traveled there, but the building was apparently under renovation and, without any prior notice, my stay was changed to “Uchiko no Yado Kura.” I stayed at “Kura” last year, and this time I came all the way from Kobe to Uchiko specifically to stay at “Kokoro.” If I had been informed in advance, I would have changed my plans for Kochi and Kagawa afterward. This Accommodation does not offer meals, and several nearby restaurants put up “Private” signs—probably prioritizing local residents—which made things extremely inconvenient for travelers. Even when seats were available, I was bluntly turned away with “Someone will be coming soon.” It may have been because it was a weekend. I won’t be returning to Uchiko.

Overall, it was a clean Hotel, and a very pleasant scent greeted us as soon as we entered.\nOur Room was on the second floor, and since there is only stair access, it may be difficult for some guests.\nAlso, some people might have trouble finding the parking area, so I recommend checking Google Maps in advance.\nThe parking lot is behind the Hotel, in front of a temple cemetery. The road is narrow, so please be careful.\nThere is a smoking area just before the entrance from the parking lot to the front desk. If you dislike cigarette smoke, you may find this unpleasant.
