East Shin-Kawa Station (Yamaguchi Prefecture) × Highly rated facilities at Hotel·Ryokan

It was my first time back in Ube City in a very long while, and the town has completely changed, but I was truly moved that the Hotel was still there just as before. The building is understandably old, but in return, the staff’s kind service and the wide variety and abundance at breakfast were wonderful. (I was happy to see kawara soba again—it brought back memories.) I met my friend at the restaurant next door, and I was glad to receive a discount as a guest privilege. Thank you for taking care of me.

This was my second stay. First, I checked in at the front desk using the QR code sent in advance and received the necessary amenities. I also had some light snacks. It feels just like a regular Hotel. The parking is right in front of the Room, which is convenient if you have a lot of luggage. The Room is also just like a typical Hotel, but it was comfortable at night because there was no noise from an upstairs toilet flushing.

This was my third stay. The Facility has a retro Showa-era feel, but it is well maintained, and I always enjoy a comfortable stay. Above all, it’s very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

I couldn't enjoy the Onsen, but the bed was great.

I stayed here to reunite with a friend in Ube after a long time. The building may not be very new, but the front desk and dining staff were very kind. This time I traveled by train from Hiroshima Prefecture, so my friend handled the driving. Many Business Hotels don’t allow alcohol at breakfast these days, but this Hotel did, which made for a pleasant start to the day. I’d like to stay here again next time.

This was my first stay, and both check-in and check-out were smooth and comfortable. The parking lot was right next door, and I was able to exit using a free voucher. With many Business Hotels charging extra for parking, this felt like a great value. The Room facilities, amenities, and internet environment are all well equipped. I think this is what a true Business Hotel should be—services that match the price.

As expected of the former ANA Hotel, it is a luxury Hotel. The management has since changed, and it is now Epoca Base Ube. It seems that about half of the guest Rooms are used by companies. It feels similar to the Kashima former Central Hotel where I often stay—a classic high-end Showa-era Hotel. The price offers outstanding value, and I couldn’t be happier. Breakfast was free so I didn’t expect much, but there was a wide variety of dishes and I really enjoyed it. The Room was clean and spacious, and the unit bath had been renovated so it was very clean.
