Saginoyu Onsen is a quiet Onsen resort surrounded by lush nature. Long ago, it is said that a white heron healed an injured leg here, and the area came to be known as “Heron’s Hot Water.” “Saginoyu-so” is conveniently located for visiting Kiyomizu-dera Temple, famous for its Kannon deity believed to ward off misfortune, and for strolling around the ruins of Gassan Toda Castle associated with the Amago clan.
