Maruto Soy Sauce, the oldest soy sauce brewery in Nara Prefecture, has been reborn as a soy sauce brewery where you can stay overnight.Founded in 1689, Maruto Soy Sauce was once a purveyor to the Imperial Household and even hosted members of the Imperial Family. However, after World War II, the brewery was forced to close due to the inability to procure satisfactory raw materials. Now, after 70 years, the brewery has been revived as a place to stay, using the microorganisms left in the brewery, locally sourced ingredients, and brewing methods uncovered from ancient documents.From traveler to brewer.We offer an experience where you can fully immerse yourself in the revival of soy sauce, local resources, and the timeless landscapes of Yamato.

A tranquil accommodation nestled at the foot of Nishiyama Tumulus, along Japan's oldest road, "Yamanobe no Michi."
