Arima Onsen, one of Japan's oldest hot spring resorts and counted among the three most famous onsen in Japan. During the Meiji era, when Kobe opened its port to foreign trade, many foreigners visited Arima Onsen. They also visited the renowned autumn foliage spot "Kiyomizu-dera," which later became a foreigner-exclusive hotel called "Kiyomizu Hotel." The lush green grounds of "Arima Sanso Goshobessho" still retain the sacred atmosphere of that time. Goshobessho was established by Shirobei Kanai XV, the current head of "Tosen Goshobo," Arima Onsen's oldest accommodation. All 10 suite rooms at Goshobessho are detached and feature private onsen baths and low-temperature saunas known as "Thermal Rooms." One of these suites even includes the world's first treehouse-style open-air bath.

At the end of the Edo period, Arima Onsen was so bustling that it was known as "Arima Senken." In addition to "Bō," which were temple lodgings, there were also self-catering accommodations called "Koyado" attached to each temple lodging. Most of these had shops selling souvenirs, brushes, bamboo crafts, and other items on the first floor, with the upper floors serving as Koyado. Traces of this structure can still be seen today. Our facility is located away from the bustling streets of Arima Town, surrounded by serene nature, offering a tranquil space where you can escape the daily hustle and enjoy a relaxing time. Our pride is the Onsen, featuring "Aka no Yu" (red water) and "Shiro no Yu" (white water) from our private hot spring source in Arima. In the open-air bath, you can warm yourself to the core with the iron-rich reddish-brown Aka no Yu, while the indoor bath allows you to relax with the carbonated Shiro no Yu. You can also savor kaiseki cuisine made with seasonal local ingredients, ensuring a luxurious experience. Enjoy a stay where you can forget the everyday, embrace nature, and Clear your mind and body.
