At the end of the Edo period, Arima Onsen was so bustling that it was known as "Arima Senken." In addition to "Bō," which were temple lodgings, there were also self-catering accommodations called "Koyado" attached to each temple lodging. Most of these had shops selling souvenirs, brushes, bamboo crafts, and other items on the first floor, with the upper floors serving as Koyado. Traces of this structure can still be seen today. Our Property also operates a café on the first floor. As a No Meals Included Property, you can enjoy a quiet and peaceful stay. Please relax in your Room according to your needs.

Guests can enjoy a variety of baths, and the Japanese garden visible from the baths changes its colors with the seasons, welcoming everyone. We also take pride in offering delicious meals at affordable and value-for-money prices.

This Ryokan is a traditional Japanese wooden restaurant inn, renovated from a now-rare villa.
A long-loved culinary Ryokan in Arima has reopened after a full renovation in 2023!A true master chef explains each dish carefully right in front of the guests—because only when guests are delighted can one be called first-class.This philosophy lies at the heart of Ota’s cuisine and gave rise to “Kyakumae-ryori” (chef’s counter-style dining). To let you enjoy Tadomichi Ota’s signature Kyakumae-ryori even more closely, we have created a counter-focused restaurant and, with an emphasis on privacy and comfort, equipped all six rooms with “Kinsen” open-air baths.Reborn as a Ryokan pursuing an even higher level of luxury. With thorough evolution in both facilities and hospitality, please enjoy an even more premium, captivating retreat for adults.
We not only provide detailed information about the cuisine but also offer an experience to savor with your eyes, ears, and palate. We deliver a live sensation that cannot be experienced elsewhere. Enjoy the culinary creations of the award-winning chef, Tadamichi Ota, including our signature dishes such as the "Cotton Rain" Sukiyaki and the "Sea of Clouds" Hot Pot, which captivate all five senses with their exquisite flavors. Our Property features two types of natural hot springs: "Golden Onsen" and "Private Source Onsen." There are two large communal baths, private baths exclusively for the annex, and open-air baths in every guest room of the main building. It is rare to find a Property where you can enjoy the famous "Golden Onsen" in a private open-air bath attached to your room, and even rarer to find one where you can enjoy a scenic view from the bath. Take advantage of our location, away from the hustle and bustle of the Onsen town, and indulge in a luxurious moment as you listen to the chirping of birds, the murmuring of the river, and admire the seasonal beauty of the surrounding mountains.
Since Toyotomi Hideyoshi frequently held tea ceremonies with Sen no Rikyū, Arima Onsen, known as Japan's oldest onsen with a history of 1300 years, has continuously attracted visitors. Located on a hill overlooking the onsen town, Takasansou Kanno quietly stands. It is a property where the harmony of flowers, furnishings, and architecture naturally blends into the heart.
In the heart of Arima Onsen, tucked away in a back alley where the sounds of geisha's shamisen can be heard, lies a small Property. During the late Edo period, Arima Onsen was bustling with "small inns" that had shops selling souvenirs, brushes, and bamboo crafts on the first floor and accommodations for travelers on the second floor. It was said to be so lively that it was known as "Arima Senken." Experience a unique journey reminiscent of those times at our charming small Property.
