This was my first stay, and everything was wonderful—the warm hospitality from the staff, the meals, and the Onsen. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as providing fireworks. The Room was spacious and relaxing as well. If I had one request, since guests move around the entire property in socks or barefoot, it would be nice to have slippers available. Other than that, I was very satisfied and would love to stay again when traveling to Lake Biwa next time.

I booked this pension within walking distance because I had long dreamed of seeing the fresh green metasequoia-lined avenue in the morning and evening. I also used everyone’s Reviews as a reference. Luckily, we were blessed with great weather, and we fully enjoyed the vibrant new greenery along the metasequoia trees and felt refreshed by the clean air. Early in the morning there were hardly any tourists, and our walk became a truly wonderful time. Dinner was delicious from start to finish—from the main Omi beef to the apple sorbet—and we were completely satisfied. The recommended white wine was far better than its price suggested, making the meal even more enjoyable. Breakfast was also outstanding, especially the freshly baked bread and homemade strawberry sauce (jam). Above all, both our room and the large public bath were beautifully maintained and very clean, and in so many moments we felt warmed by the thoughtful hospitality of the owner and family—it became a soothing, heartwarming trip. When we left after check-out, the owner waved goodbye as we drove out of the parking lot, which deeply moved both my husband and me. We would love to visit again in a different season next time.
