From the moment we boarded the elevator to the Ryokan from in front of Sounzan Station, it was an exciting experience. The Accommodation and all the staff welcomed us with a warm atmosphere, and everything—the Room, the carefully prepared meals, the Onsen, and the views—was wonderfully soothing. We were able to spend a slow, quiet, luxurious time. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed at other Dormy Inn Hotels several times on business trips, and everything—cleanliness, the Onsen, and the meals—has always been excellent. This time we visited for a family trip, and my wife and child were thrilled. It made our trip truly enjoyable, and we’d love to stay again!

I finally visited this long-awaited Hotel for the first time. I called on the day of arrival and requested Shuttle Service to Chokoku-no-Mori Station. Because the number of Rooms is limited, neither the dining areas nor the Onsen ever felt crowded, and I was able to relax at a very leisurely pace. The staff’s thoughtful hospitality was outstanding, making it a truly meaningful stay. The cocktail pairing at dinner was a wonderful experience, with cocktails I would not normally order myself. Brunch also offered a wide variety of options, and it was a delight to enjoy champagne and wine from the morning. I felt this Accommodation is easy to use even for solo travelers. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

Four of us stayed here on a girls’ trip. We booked a guaranteed Mt. Fuji view Room and were thrilled to see such a beautiful Mt. Fuji! The Room had a nostalgic Showa-era feel, but it came with basic amenities and tea, and since we only stayed one night and didn’t spend much time in the Room, it was more than sufficient. The meals (with breakfast and dinner included) were delicious, and there was so much food we couldn’t finish it all even though we wanted to try more. In the morning, we could hear Japanese bush warblers singing, which felt wonderfully refreshing, and seeing majestic Mt. Fuji made it an unforgettable memory! If we have the chance, we’d love to visit again.

My second stay, following last winter. Last time I came by car. After sightseeing at Owakudani and other spots, I followed the navigation system and didn’t really know where it was, but this time I used the mountain railway and was surprised to find it was very close to Sounzan Station. Even on the walk from the station, I felt welcomed by a pleasant breeze and birdsong, and arrived at the Accommodation in great spirits. The attendant who looked after us was the same as last year. Their cheerful manner and excellent timing in serving meals were unchanged. The Room and shared areas were just as spotless as before—not a speck of dust—making everything feel wonderfully refreshing. The open-air bath assigned to each Room is located a short distance away, and ours was excellent again this time. With cuckoos calling more beautifully around this season, I could truly relax in both sound and hot water. The meals were delicious as before: a soup with pike conger eel (hamo) and junsai; seasonal ingredients like Manganji peppers with superb seasoning; gourd “kaminari-boshi,” which I hadn’t tasted in ages; plus breakfast highlights such as the vegetable salad and dressing, perfectly grilled salted salmon (both seasoning and doneness), and fresh yuba served at just the right moment. An Accommodation I’d love to return to for its hospitality.

We stayed here with friends for a glamping trip, and it was amazing. If we have the chance to visit again, we’d love to stay here again!

The Accommodation was located on the shores of Lake Yamanaka and offered a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji. The showers and toilets were shared, but they were well cleaned, and combined with the affordable rate, it was not an issue at all. I was also able to sleep soundly.

We stayed as a family, and what we loved most was the completely private space that only an entire-home rental can offer. We were able to relax without worrying about anyone around us. The location at the foot of Mt. Fuji in Lake Yamanaka was also very appealing, and we truly enjoyed a luxurious time surrounded by nature. With a spacious living room and a well-equipped kitchen, we could unwind as if we were at home, and the seasonal scenery outside the windows was incredibly soothing. We took it easy in the large garden and greenery while enjoying the fresh air, and had fun cooking for ourselves in the kitchen—it really felt like staying at a vacation home. The freedom to wake up, eat, and spend time on our own schedule was perfect for a family stay. The system that allows check-in and check-out without meeting staff in person was very innovative, and everything went smoothly. The bedding was comfortable and we slept soundly, and it was reassuring that effective insect-repellent items were well provided. There were fewer insects than expected, which made our stay even more comfortable. It’s also conveniently located as a base for sightseeing around Lake Yamanaka, and it was a wonderful Accommodation where you can enjoy the special feel of an upscale private villa rental. We would definitely like to stay again—highly recommended.

The room was spacious and clean. The dog run was also great. The meals were delicious, and both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying. A taxi is necessary to get to Gora Station, so we recommend making a reservation in advance. The staff were kind and attentive, which was wonderful. Thank you very much!
