Ōmi-Nagaoka Station × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan

Considering the price, everything was acceptable. However, this isn’t the Hotel’s fault, but by 5 p.m. almost everything in the tourist area—including restaurants—was closed. The downside was that once it got dark, there was little choice but to spend time in the Room. I suppose there must be some kind of agreement among the local merchants.

The reservation was for the main building, but it was incorrect, so it was changed to the annex.

When I told them I wanted to park my car before check-in, they quickly confirmed the guest registration details. Throughout the process, they kept smiling, and I never felt uneasy. It may seem like standard service for hotel staff, but it made me feel at ease in an unfamiliar place. The first impression was excellent, and I would like to stay again.

This was my first time staying at a container Hotel, and it was surprisingly comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the large-screen TV was impressive. The Room had the air conditioner on, so it stayed cool. One light meal was included, and we could choose from five options. Since two of us stayed, we chose the “European-style curry bento” and the “Chicken and lotus root bento.” The other options were meat sauce pasta, yaki udon, and beef pilaf. Both meals were delicious.

It was just a short walk from the station, and although reasonably priced, it had everything we needed. There was a supermarket right across the street, so even without meals included, we had no trouble. The Accommodation was very kind, including storing our luggage before check-in and after check-out.

This was our second visit, and once again, the hospitality was exceptional, making it a delightful stay for the whole family. Attentive service, delicious food, and beautiful grounds. We especially loved the canoeing! The only downside this time was that our location didn’t have a toilet or sink nearby, so we had to leave the Room to use the restroom, which was a bit inconvenient. Opening and closing the tent was also somewhat challenging... Other than that, we were very satisfied!

Arriving in Nagahama after sightseeing at Ishiyamadera past 5:30 PM and leaving the Hotel at 8 AM the next morning for the Chikubushima Cruise, we couldn't relax as much as we wanted. However, the Room was a beautifully renovated storehouse, providing a cozy and comfortable stay. Although we didn't have time to use the sauna, the large bathtub in the Room allowed us to unwind and recover from our travels. The Spanish bar recommended to us offered delicious wine and food, leaving us very satisfied. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The charm of a guesthouse lies in its freedom and the opportunity to interact with fellow guests. The nostalgic atmosphere of a traditional Showa-era home is heartwarming, and the ambiance of the nearby post town is truly enjoyable. The host's peaceful and natural sensibilities are evident throughout, making it a place you'd want to visit again. Highly recommended for those who appreciate Japan's old-town scenery.

I stayed for one weekday night with the No Meals Included plan while sightseeing by car. Perhaps because it’s new, the Room was clean and comfortable. The toilet and unit bath were also spotless, and I liked that I could make coffee freely at the front desk as many times as I wanted. The complimentary frozen meal was a nice touch, too. There is no loaner phone charger, so be careful not to forget yours! The window seemed to be only for ventilation—a tall frosted glass panel—so there was no view from the Room. It was great value and easy to stay without any fuss, so I’d definitely choose it again next time.

This time, we stayed in a cabin with a camping theme. The interior had a very relaxing atmosphere, and it felt like one night was not enough for our family of three. Everything was stylish and clean, making it an excellent stay. The shuttle service was also helpful as it accommodated locations other than the station. We would love to stay again!

We received attentive support even before our stay. Both adults and children enjoyed a luxurious time in this extraordinary space. Cooking in the beautiful kitchen was also a delight. We look forward to staying here again.

The Facility was very clean, and we were able to relax and take our time. The meals were delicious and very filling. Checking in early was a great idea because we could try the smoking experience and making Onsen eggs. Since most things were self-service, I would have appreciated a bit more guidance, such as how to grill the meat properly. The light show was also beautiful, but there is no announcement when it starts, so it’s best to keep track of the time so you don’t miss it.

I stayed here because it’s close to the drone school!
