As an annex of the historic "Shinshu Yudanaka Onsen Yorozuya," which has been welcoming guests since the Edo Kansei era, this new accommodation will be reborn on March 1, 2024. The previous Matsusho-so was designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2003 and cherished by many until it was lost to fire in 2021. Despite this loss, with encouragement from numerous supporters, we are proud to announce its revival as the new "Matsusho-so" on March 1, 2024. The building incorporates design elements of the original Matsusho-so while embracing traditional Sukiya architecture that harmonizes with nature. Each room features a private open-air bath overlooking a small garden where guests can enjoy seasonal landscapes. We have created a space that feels "new yet somehow nostalgic." The hotel, located at the foot of Shiga Kogen, is convenient as a base for sightseeing to Zenkoji, Obuse, and Matsushiro. Renowned for its Onsen sourced from the famous Hoshikawa Onsen, it offers abundant water with a soft texture that is highly praised. Rooms range from 10 to 18 tatami mats, including special rooms with excellent views. Guests can enjoy karaoke for free. Choose your favorite dishes from the Japanese, Western, and Chinese buffet.

There are three types of rooms: Japanese-Western, Western, and Japanese, all non-smoking. We provide flavorful dishes prepared with local seasonal ingredients.
