Opened on September 2, 2007. Named “Masuichi Kyakuden” from the owner’s wish: “We would have loved to welcome you into our own home…”. Designed by architect John Morford—who also designed “Kurabu” and the main store of Masuichi Ichimura Sake Brewery—this Accommodation is his vision of where he would want to stay when visiting Obuse. Centered around three earthen storehouses relocated from a long-established sugar wholesaler in Nagano, it comprises seven wooden buildings, with interiors fully furnished in Western style.

Our Accommodation is a guesthouse with private Rooms only, welcoming solo travelers on their first trip, couples, and small groups.It is recommended for guests who want to chat and exchange travel tips with the host and other guests in the evening, but still sleep comfortably in a private Room. Our Facility is simple and self-service, but we do our best to ensure everyone has a pleasant stay.・This is a self-service Accommodation.・Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building. (A designated smoking area is available outdoors.)・This Accommodation offers opportunities to exchange information with the host and other guests.・For first-time Reservations, we accept up to 2 friends traveling together; groups of 3 or more are accepted for families only.・Parties in Rooms are not allowed.・We value quiet time. (Guests who want to be loud or lively will be declined.)・Lights-out time is 10:30 PM.
