Over time, a bathhouse was built to provide comfort for those seeking healing through hot springs. Now, this inn has expanded its offerings to enhance the joy of traveling and exploring various hot springs. "Aburaya Tousen" invites you to relax at your own pace and enjoy an extended stay while savoring every moment leisurely.

A modern guesthouse that blends seamlessly into Obuse, also known as the “Town of Hokusai.”

Opened on September 2, 2007. Named “Masuichi Kyakuden” from the owner’s wish: “We would have loved to welcome you into our own home…”. Designed by architect John Morford—who also designed “Kurabu” and the main store of Masuichi Ichimura Sake Brewery—this Accommodation is his vision of where he would want to stay when visiting Obuse. Centered around three earthen storehouses relocated from a long-established sugar wholesaler in Nagano, it comprises seven wooden buildings, with interiors fully furnished in Western style.
