Opened on September 2, 2007. Named “Masuichi Kyakuden” from the owner’s wish: “We would have loved to welcome you into our own home…”. Designed by architect John Morford—who also designed “Kurabu” and the main store of Masuichi Ichimura Sake Brewery—this Accommodation is his vision of where he would want to stay when visiting Obuse. Centered around three earthen storehouses relocated from a long-established sugar wholesaler in Nagano, it comprises seven wooden buildings, with interiors fully furnished in Western style.

Located on a hilltop, our guest rooms on the upper floors and the open-air baths on the top floor offer breathtaking views of the majestic mountain ranges of Northern Shinshu. Enjoy an extraordinary moment while gazing at the vast scenery that you would never encounter in the city. The private open-air bath "TSUBAKI" is equipped with a mini-bar and multimedia speakers.
