Opened on September 2, 2007. Named “Masuichi Kyakuden” from the owner’s wish: “We would have loved to welcome you into our own home…”. Designed by architect John Morford—who also designed “Kurabu” and the main store of Masuichi Ichimura Sake Brewery—this Accommodation is his vision of where he would want to stay when visiting Obuse. Centered around three earthen storehouses relocated from a long-established sugar wholesaler in Nagano, it comprises seven wooden buildings, with interiors fully furnished in Western style.

Our accommodation is a proud onsen ryokan featuring 100% natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source and stunning views. Relax and unwind while enjoying the onsen loved by enthusiasts and the scenic mountains of Shinshu. Guests staying with us can enjoy free access to three public baths in Yudanaka Onsen nearby. Additionally, our rooftop offers a private open-air bath surrounded by mountains, available for 40 minutes at 2,000 yen. A short drive will take you to Shibu Onsen or Shiga Kogen, and during summer months, Kusatsu Onsen is about an 80-minute drive away—making this area perfect for onsen lovers.
