Opened on September 2, 2007. Named “Masuichi Kyakuden” from the owner’s wish: “We would have loved to welcome you into our own home…”. Designed by architect John Morford—who also designed “Kurabu” and the main store of Masuichi Ichimura Sake Brewery—this Accommodation is his vision of where he would want to stay when visiting Obuse. Centered around three earthen storehouses relocated from a long-established sugar wholesaler in Nagano, it comprises seven wooden buildings, with interiors fully furnished in Western style.

Property located just a 2-minute walk from Madarao Kogen Ski Resort. Enjoy seasonal landscapes from the open-air bath and breathtaking views of Oku-Shinano from the lobby and mountain-side rooms. In addition to the snow season, the green season with its vibrant greenery offers activities such as trekking and mountain biking in Madarao Kogen. There are three types of rooms: Japanese-Western, Western, and Japanese, all non-smoking. We provide flavorful dishes prepared with local seasonal ingredients.
