Newly opened in April 2023! Hououkan is a modern Japanese-style building featuring a semi-open-air large cypress bath and a stone sauna. The three buildings are connected by corridors, with two courtyards designed within the premises. The first floor (160 square meters) includes two 8-tatami mat Japanese-style Rooms, and the small second floor offers direct access to the courtyard from the Rooms, with space for double futons. Additionally, there is a dining kitchen and a terrace garden accessible from the living room, where BBQs are possible. Local chefs can prepare meals in an open kitchen on-site, allowing you to enjoy seasonal seafood from Minamiboso or Boso sushi. The illuminated exterior and courtyards, sophisticated interior facilities, large cypress bath, and stone sauna were all designed to provide relaxation for both mind and body. A 70-year-old traditional Japanese house has been renovated and expanded with an open-air bath and sauna, becoming a one-group-per-day exclusive rental property. It features carefully selected interiors and comprehensive facilities, offering a Japanese-modern facility. You can experience the changing seasons while enjoying the leisurely flow of time unique to the satoyama.
