It is the largest lake in Shinshu, situated in the Suwa Basin surrounded by mountains. In summer, the Lake Suwa Fireworks Festival is held, and in the depths of winter, the mystical natural phenomenon "Omiwatari" occurs when the lake freezes completely under specific conditions. The parking lot accommodates up to 32 passenger cars on a first-come, first-served basis. (If the parking lot is full, please use nearby coin-operated parking at your own expense.)
