We stayed as a family of four. It was the perfect place to relax. Both the historic building and the garden were wonderful, but what stayed with us most was the warm hospitality we received. The large public bath is available from early morning, and we enjoyed multiple baths, making our stay truly fulfilling.

This was our family’s first stay, and it was wonderful. With my birthday coming up the following week, we happened to mention it at check-in, and they surprised me at dinner with live music and a dessert—plus sweets as a gift—to celebrate! We hadn’t informed them in advance about the Reserver, so I was truly touched by the surprise. Thank you very much. All of the staff were professional—from guiding our car on arrival to explaining the Hotel, as well as the lounge and restaurant teams—and they made our stay comfortable from start to finish. The housekeeping staff also greeted us warmly. The Facility was just as beautiful as in the photos, and everything—from the amenities to the in-room sweets and beverages—was thoughtfully selected, which really conveyed their hospitality. The restaurant meals for both breakfast and dinner were vibrant, uncompromising, and absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed by this top-class Accommodation. We will definitely return. Thank you again.

This Accommodation, Sagamiya, was a wonderful place where we could truly feel traditional Japanese hospitality. As soon as we arrived by car, the staff noticed us right away and came out to assist, kindly helping us park with ease. They guided us to our Room, and the attendant came to greet us and made tea for us. These days we often stay at more Western-style Hotels, so it was a pleasure to enjoy this Japanese-style hospitality again after a long time. We enjoyed a delicious in-room meal in the tatami Room with a lovely view. The open-air bath in the Room was also excellent, and even one night was enough to leave us feeling fully refreshed. All of the staff were very pleasant. We also appreciated the many thoughtful touches throughout our stay—it felt reassuring that experienced staff could make good judgments on the spot. We would love to visit again.

We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Because she has allergies and we were visiting for her birthday, we exchanged emails in advance. You responded so kindly and thoughtfully that we were able to arrive with no worries at all. It was raining on the day, but you came out to greet us with an umbrella, carried our heavy luggage to the front desk, and even brought it up to our Room while we were checking in. From the very beginning, we felt reassured and could truly sense your outstanding hospitality. The tea and shaved ice served at check-in were also delicious. The Room was even more wonderful than in the photos. The contrast between the lush green bamboo grove beyond the window and the beautifully shaped white bathtub was breathtaking, and we were able to relax in a refined, calm space. Although it should have been hot outside, once we soaked in the open-air bath we didn’t feel the heat at all—it was incredibly pleasant. Bathing while watching a butterfly resting on leaves right in front of us felt truly extraordinary. Dinner allergy accommodations were perfect. Even with allergen ingredients removed, you ensured each dish still looked just as impressive as others, so my girlfriend could eat with peace of mind. Everything tasted amazing, and I ended up drinking quite a lot. The truffle rice was especially delicious—I had seconds—and I now regret declining when you kindly offered me a third bowl… I later tried to order truffle rice balls via room service at night but service had already ended, so I wished I had eaten more then (laugh). It seemed everyone had been informed about my surprise plan as well; you supported me smoothly throughout so I could prepare within time and carry out the surprise without her noticing. The charlotte cake I requested was also delicious. Thank you so much. To sum it up: choosing Miwa Yugawara for this birthday trip was absolutely the right decision. Every staff member was wonderful and highly service-minded, and I’m truly glad we stayed here. We soothed our fatigue in the open-air bath, felt satisfied with the delicious meals, and your thoughtful care healed our hearts. Thank you again for everything. We look forward to visiting again. Oh—and breakfast was delicious!

We stayed here for the first time on his birthday, and everything was wonderful. He was delighted and said it was the best Accommodation he has ever stayed at! The teppanyaki meal was delicious, and the Onsen temperature was adjusted so it could be enjoyed even in summer, making it very comfortable and relaxing. Next time, I’d like to visit again with him in winter!

A family trip with two families to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday and my nephew’s birthday. The surprise cake at dinner made it a wonderful family memory. They also accommodated our food allergies, so we could enjoy the delicious meals with peace of mind. Thank you for the outstanding hospitality.

Searched for Accommodation with an open-air bath in the Room The Room was exactly what we wanted, and we had a wonderful holiday—no need to carry bath items or a change of clothes to the large public bath, and we could enjoy the Onsen whenever we liked. We chose a Plan with breakfast only. The dried horse mackerel was very delicious. For us, who can’t eat that much, it was just the right amount. Enjoying coffee in the lounge while taking in the lovely view overlooking the harbor was also wonderful. Although it felt like being nestled in the woods, we didn’t see any insects. It was a lovely Accommodation that we would like to use again.

The bath in the Room is outstanding. I soaked in the rich, concentrated Onsen water from the natural spring—so generously flowing it felt almost wasteful—and took the in-room bath again and again, letting it seep into my body. I really felt its effects. The next day, after checking out, I visited an art museum and got home around 2:30 p.m. Maybe it was the Onsen’s benefits, but I fell into a deep sleep from about 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., then took a bath, ate only some watermelon, and slept soundly again until morning. I truly felt refreshed. The Room is spacious with an amazing view, and everything is excellent—from the impeccable Facility and attentive service to the great meals. Because a typhoon was coming this time, there are only two photos from this visit; the third photo onward is from my New Year’s stay.

We stayed for one night starting on 7/29! It was just my son and me, and right after we arrived there were kid-friendly activities prepared—shaved ice and stencil-cutting—so we really enjoyed them together. After that we moved to our Room, and both of us were impressed by how spacious and clean it was. We didn’t use the Onsen in the Room, but the semi-private open-air bath felt almost like having it to ourselves, so I ended up going in three times during our stay (lol). After arriving, we took our time relaxing while visiting the different lounges. Dinner had slightly different menus for adults and children, but they were mostly the same, which made my son very happy. All drinks in the Room were included in the price as well, so we enjoyed a relaxed evening drink together with the provided beer and juice. Breakfast had an amazing variety of sides to go with rice—I could have eaten endless bowls. It was also great that refills of miso soup were available. Since it’s located up in the mountains, the view is incredible. This was our last day after traveling around various Hotels, and we had such a wonderful time that I genuinely felt sad to leave. The staff were also exceptionally polite and attentive—truly excellent service. Next time I’d like to come back with my wife.

I stopped by and stayed here on my way back from visiting Ise Grand Shrine. It’s within walking distance from the station, and I was able to check in smoothly with no stress. The building is undeniably old, but the Room was kept clean. The meals were very delicious. The local specialty, Atami-ni, was truly outstanding. It’s also nice that you can choose your dried fish at breakfast. Many of the staff are from overseas, but their hard work comes through, so there’s no stress. The Onsen was at a comfortable temperature and felt great. I’d like to stay here again if I have the chance.

We previously had an amazing time watching the Atami fireworks up close, so we came back with our dog. With its consistently great location, we were able to fully enjoy the fireworks festival again. Our family loves this place so much that we’d happily stay here again and again, but we would appreciate it even more if you could consider the following: For a Multiple Night Stay with takeout meals, there are clearly not enough dishes and utensils. It would be very helpful to have dish soap and a sponge, paper towels, and large trash bags. We also used the instant ramen vending machine on the 2nd floor, which our child loved. However, there are only a few topping options available compared to the number of ramen servings in stock. We would be happy if you could consider restocking more frequently or increasing the amount provided. That said, I think we’ll be back again. Next time, we’d love to enjoy the autumn/winter fireworks as well. Thank you very much.

The cleanliness and well-equipped Facility you’d expect from a large Hotel really stood out. The Hotel’s large public bath was excellent, but the Ocean Spa fuua was even better—its seamless connection with the sea and the open, partition-free standing bath were outstanding. At night, we were lucky to be able to watch Yugawara’s fireworks from our Room. As for dining, if I had one wish, it would be having two venues instead of just one—then even a Multiple Night Stay might feel less repetitive.

We had planned to visit Hiramatsu in Okinawa this time, but our flight was canceled due to a typhoon. Although it was a last-minute Reservation made the day before, we quickly changed our plans to Atami. I had stayed in Atami once about eight years ago, and every time I visit, the reason I can enjoy such a comfortable stay is thanks to the wonderful hospitality of all the staff. A staff member who had transferred from Okinawa to Atami said, “It’s a shame about Okinawa this time,” which made me feel relieved and truly happy. The female manager also remembered our conversation from eight years ago. I was feeling a bit down about not being able to go to Okinawa, but the kindness of everyone on the team comforted me, and it became another great trip. I truly felt that Hiramatsu properties across The whole country offer outstanding service and teamwork because the management philosophy is exceptional.

With its simple design and calming atmosphere, this Accommodation is recommended for restoring both body and mind. In particular, the Japanese and herbal tea lounge on the 8th floor lets you blend Japanese tea with herbal ingredients yourself, place them into a tea bag, and enjoy a wellness tea while relaxing music plays—an experience that left us fully satisfied.

We stayed for one night on July 4–5. This time, six of us (three couples in our 70s) stayed in three Rooms, each with a private open-air bath. To be honest, two of my friends’ husbands have never wanted to use large public baths on our past trips. So this time we splurged on Rooms with open-air baths—and those husbands were thrilled and apparently bathed many times. Everyone agreed it was excellent. The front desk staff were polite and clear, and the foreign staff member who assisted with meals spoke Japanese very well. We even had a bit of personal conversation, and they answered earnestly, making mealtime very enjoyable. Of course, the food itself was also outstanding: many small dishes and a wide variety of carefully prepared items—again, everyone was completely satisfied. At checkout we passed several housekeeping staff members, and every one of them greeted us properly, so we left feeling great. It was quiet, with only the sound of the nearby river; I almost fell asleep in the open-air bath. The price didn’t feel expensive at all. This turned into a long Review, but there’s no doubt we’ll want to come again.

From the phone call before our stay, the service was very courteous and pleasant. Many of the staff seemed young, but everyone was wonderfully attentive, and we were able to relax throughout our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and it was also lovely to move to the lounge and enjoy dessert while taking in the view outside. We would definitely like to stay again.

We were talking with friends about wanting to see the Atami fireworks, and that’s how we found Atami Terrace. We’d often seen it on Instagram, so although it was a bit pricey for us, we decided to make the Reservation since it was a special occasion—and we were absolutely thrilled! Nothing blocked the view: an amazing collaboration of the sea, illuminations, and fireworks right in front of us. The powerful sound that you could feel in your stomach was truly moving. The service was just as impressive as the fireworks. The buffet meals—both dinner and breakfast—offered great variety, and unlike many Hotels like this, there was hardly any waiting in line. For my friend who has trouble walking and uses a cane, there was a cart that could carry a tray while moving around, and she seemed happy to be able to choose as much as she wanted. We were also surprised by the all-you-can-drink beer. We also enjoyed plenty inside the Hotel—late-night soba noodles, plus tea and sweets in the lounge. And with the beach right in front of you, I think it would be perfect for swimming too. It’s beautiful overall, and the Room is compact but well organized—we felt relaxed throughout our stay. We’ve already made another Reservation for the November fireworks festival. We’re really looking forward to it.

We stayed on the 10th Anniversary Plan. It was a great deal, with a bottle of red wine in the Room and checkout extended until 11:00—such a good value. The welcome drink and snacks were also excellent! They even made iced coffee when we asked. The meal portions were just right for us, but big eaters might find it a little small. I wonder if refills of inari sushi were available? The roast beef was outstanding! The Crêpes Suzette had a wonderful orange aroma, and the performance was great too. The staff member prepared it with a lovely smile, but I did worry whether she might get burned. Maybe that’s why the dining area is kept slightly dim—because of this performance. Our Room was a twin, but it was different from the twin shown in the photos, which was a bit disappointing (I thought it would have beds on wooden flooring rather than carpet). The wallpaper design was quite bold. The sofa was on the small side, and we felt an ottoman or an extra chair would have made it more comfortable to relax. Middle-aged couples don’t really sit pressed together (haha). The bath area was compact but very nice. We appreciated the thoughtful service of tea and ice cream as well! However, perhaps to prevent steam from building up, the door leading to the open-air bath area was always left open—so I wondered whether insects might come in… and sure enough, we ran into one (a stink bug?). I really hate bugs, so my heart was pounding. That part was quite disappointing. I’ve mentioned various things, but overall it was a wonderful Accommodation where we truly felt their hospitality. Thank you very much.

This was my first time visiting Yugawara Onsen. All the staff were very courteous and cheerful, and I had a comfortable stay. The food was simply delicious!! The presentation was enjoyable, and everything tasted great—I was very satisfied. The Onsen water was on the mild side, which suited me since I’m not good with very hot baths, so I could soak a little longer. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again. I also liked that there was a café area with jazz playing.

It was close to the shopping street and the sea, which made sightseeing easy. The Room had a beautiful ocean view, and the Hotel staff were helpful; the Facility and amenities were also good. Dinner was buffet-style, and they guided guests in three different time slots to avoid crowding, which was considerate. However, at the start of dinner it still got crowded around the food area, and it took nearly 30 minutes before we could begin eating. Since we had chosen the all-you-can-drink alcohol option, that lost time was a bit disappointing.
