川堰苑 いすゞRyokan is located on a hill overlooking the town of Yugawara, approximately 2km from Yugawara Station, about a 5-minute drive, and features 29 guest rooms. Our recommendation is the seasonal Kaiseki cuisine, prepared with seasonal ingredients. Recently, we have made every effort to accommodate the needs of elderly guests, those with allergies, and international visitors, even when traditional ryokan meals may not suffice, thanks to the thoughtful care of our hostess.

"Kappo Ryokan Wakamatsu" was established in 1922 (Taisho 11) in Hakodate. Since then, it has been cherished for nearly a century as a long-established Ryokan offering the finest hospitality in Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen, one of Hokkaido's premier tourist destinations. In 1954 (Showa 29), it was honored to host His Majesty the Emperor during his tour of Hokkaido, and in recent years, it has been awarded one star in the "Michelin Guide Hokkaido." While preserving the hospitality refined through such history and tradition, "Wakamatsu Yugawara Sekitei" was established in March 2018 (Heisei 30) in Yugawara. The kitchen includes a three-burner IH stove, pots, cooking utensils, appliances, an industrial ice maker, and refrigerator. The sofa lounge is equipped with karaoke DAM for karaoke parties. There is also an indoor foot bath filled with natural Onsen water. The bathroom has openable windows where you can relax in the Onsen while enjoying the sound of the river and surrounding nature. The second floor consists of guest rooms: one 10-tatami mat Japanese-style room with two double beds and two additional Japanese-style rooms (8-tatami + 6-tatami).
