The building was new and very clean, and the Room was thoroughly cleaned down to every corner. It was spacious, and we had a very comfortable stay. The meals were also delicious. Although the staff were from overseas, they were kind and helpful—thank you very much. As it was our 13th wedding anniversary, we also received a surprise dessert plate—thank you very much.

I found this Ryokan while looking for a trip to give my boyfriend as a birthday present, also as a thank-you for his proposal. This was an important trip for me, and everything—from the hospitality to the Onsen, the food, and the Room—was wonderful. It was a truly heartwarming Ryokan. When I asked about bringing in wine as a surprise, they responded and accommodated my request promptly and with great care. I didn’t expect such thoughtful support, and I’m very grateful. In the end, he was delighted, and we were able to spend a lovely time together. While searching for a Ryokan, I saw many reviews praising the hospitality, and after staying here I completely understand why. The service from our attendant and all other staff was excellent, making this trip even more special. We also enjoyed seasonal flavors in the cuisine, and since it was served in our Room we could relax and enjoy it at our own pace. The words said to us at departure—“We look forward to welcoming you again in another season”—left a strong impression on me. We would love to visit again.

We stayed here for the first time on his birthday, and everything was wonderful. He was delighted and said it was the best Accommodation he has ever stayed at! The teppanyaki meal was delicious, and the Onsen temperature was adjusted so it could be enjoyed even in summer, making it very comfortable and relaxing. Next time, I’d like to visit again with him in winter!

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The Facilities, the staff’s atmosphere, and the meals were all excellent. It was clear that each staff member truly loves dogs. We would definitely like to stay again.

This Accommodation, Sagamiya, was a wonderful place where we could truly feel traditional Japanese hospitality. As soon as we arrived by car, the staff noticed us right away and came out to assist, kindly helping us park with ease. They guided us to our Room, and the attendant came to greet us and made tea for us. These days we often stay at more Western-style Hotels, so it was a pleasure to enjoy this Japanese-style hospitality again after a long time. We enjoyed a delicious in-room meal in the tatami Room with a lovely view. The open-air bath in the Room was also excellent, and even one night was enough to leave us feeling fully refreshed. All of the staff were very pleasant. We also appreciated the many thoughtful touches throughout our stay—it felt reassuring that experienced staff could make good judgments on the spot. We would love to visit again.

I have been staying here for some time, and recently I always stay for three nights. Each time, the property is quiet and thoroughly cleaned throughout. The wonderful, delicious meals were excellent, and both the open-air bath and the large public bath were spotless. The background music was also pleasant. The Room has two rooms with a veranda, and it was the perfect size for just my spouse and me. The staff’s service was also good.

I look forward to staying at Pearl Star every summer. Thanks to the staff who provide Shuttle Service with a smile from check-in to check-out, I always have a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is one of the highlights for me, and I like to get seated early and enjoy it at a relaxed pace. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again and again.

I love the meals here and have returned several times. This time, I enjoyed the chef’s special kaiseki featuring splendid alfonsino, and truly savored it. Everything was delicious. The dishes were beautiful to look at as well, and I was reminded how Japanese cuisine lets you enjoy the seasons. I spent a relaxing, elegant holiday and felt completely recharged. A family trip with two families to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday and my nephew’s birthday. The surprise cake at dinner made it a wonderful family memory. They also accommodated our food allergies, so we could enjoy the delicious meals with peace of mind. Thank you for the outstanding hospitality.

We stayed as a group of five with our daughter and son-in-law and our 5-month-old grandchild. It was our grandchild’s very first trip and their first Onsen experience. As it was a weekday, we were upgraded to the highest-grade Room, which made our stay extremely comfortable with no inconveniences at all. The attendant who looked after us seemed relatively new, but provided courteous service with care in every detail. The private open-air bath was wonderful, and we enjoyed delicious meals. The simmered golden eye snapper in particular had a gentle seasoning and was outstanding. It was also our first time trying the mixed breakfast dish, and it was very tasty. The location is close to Atami Ginza and Sun Beach, making it perfect for strolling around and enjoying local food. Thanks to you, it was a truly satisfying trip in every way. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a family of four. It was the perfect place to relax. Both the historic building and the garden were wonderful, but what stayed with us most was the warm hospitality we received. The large public bath is available from early morning, and we enjoyed multiple baths, making our stay truly fulfilling.

Both the Room and the bath, as well as the meals, were excellent. The service was attentive. We were able to spend a relaxing and luxurious time. If I may mention one thing, a razor was provided, but it wasn’t very sharp, and there was no shaving foam. I tried using another soap instead, but it didn’t work well and I ended up cutting my face.

The ocean view from the Room is wonderful, as are the views of Atami and the sea from the restaurant. The guest Room is spacious and airy, and the Onsen bath is large enough to stretch out in. Dinner was especially delicious, particularly the stone-grilled beef tenderloin steak. It was a very satisfying stay.

This was a high-quality Accommodation where you could truly appreciate the chef’s excellent sense of taste in both the quality and quantity of the food. The bath was also wonderful and left a strong impression on me. I was particularly struck by a Nepalese female staff member who spoke Japanese well; she looked worried because a local bridge in her hometown had been washed away in a landslide disaster in Nepal.

As our Room was in a separate building, we were able to relax in a quiet space. The open-air bath was also wonderful—I enjoyed it so much that I went in several times. The meals were delicious, and we especially appreciated the spacious dining area where we could take our time without worrying about others. We also received a gift for our wedding anniversary, and the thoughtful hospitality truly warmed our hearts.

Just as the Reviews said, everything was very well maintained, every meal was delicious, and the bath was clean and comfortable, so we could relax and enjoy it at our own pace. The garden and the interior design of the walkways were also wonderful, giving us many ways to enjoy our stay. All of the staff provided pleasant and welcoming service. I booked this stay because of the great Reviews, and it really caught my interest. After sightseeing at Kinomiya Shrine, we took a taxi there, and they warmly welcomed us at the entrance upon arrival. We were traveling with our 4-year-old and 1-year-old children, and everyone was so kind that the kids seemed to have a wonderful time. And above all, I was amazed at how incredibly delicious the food was. My husband and I weren’t very hungry when we went to dinner, but every dish was so good that before we knew it, we had finished everything. Even the appetizers were outstanding. We’ve traveled to many places before, but this was the first time we’ve had food this delicious. The children’s meal was also excellent, and even our child who usually eats very little seemed to eat a lot. Since our younger child is still small, my younger child and I used the in-Room bath, but it was spacious and spotless, so we enjoyed it more than enough. When we come to Atami again, I definitely want to stay here again!

We stayed for one night starting on 7/29! It was just my son and me, and right after we arrived there were kid-friendly activities prepared—shaved ice and stencil-cutting—so we really enjoyed them together. After that we moved to our Room, and both of us were impressed by how spacious and clean it was. We didn’t use the Onsen in the Room, but the semi-private open-air bath felt almost like having it to ourselves, so I ended up going in three times during our stay (lol). After arriving, we took our time relaxing while visiting the different lounges. Dinner had slightly different menus for adults and children, but they were mostly the same, which made my son very happy. All drinks in the Room were included in the price as well, so we enjoyed a relaxed evening drink together with the provided beer and juice. Breakfast had an amazing variety of sides to go with rice—I could have eaten endless bowls. It was also great that refills of miso soup were available. Since it’s located up in the mountains, the view is incredible. This was our last day after traveling around various Hotels, and we had such a wonderful time that I genuinely felt sad to leave. The staff were also exceptionally polite and attentive—truly excellent service. Next time I’d like to come back with my wife.

The Room was spacious and had a veranda-like deck called the Tsukimidai, with a nice view and the ocean visible in the distance. Meals were served in the Room, and every dish was delicious—we finished everything at both breakfast and dinner. However, it was disappointing that the drinks in the refrigerator were expensive. The Onsen also felt very open; while I did wonder if it might be visible from somewhere, I was still able to bathe comfortably. Another bath area was spacious, and the water in the roofed open-air bath left my skin feeling moisturized like lotion. Inside the building, it seems to have been expanded many times over the years, so some areas are a bit confusing, and many guests seemed to get lost. There were only a few souvenirs for sale, and there were no Facilities such as karaoke or table tennis, but it had an old-fashioned Ryokan atmosphere that we really enjoyed.
