Atami Station × Highly rated Hotel·Ryokan for Onsen and bath

I found this Ryokan while looking for a trip to give my boyfriend as a birthday present, also as a thank-you for his proposal. This was an important trip for me, and everything—from the hospitality to the Onsen, the food, and the Room—was wonderful. It was a truly heartwarming Ryokan. When I asked about bringing in wine as a surprise, they responded and accommodated my request promptly and with great care. I didn’t expect such thoughtful support, and I’m very grateful. In the end, he was delighted, and we were able to spend a lovely time together. While searching for a Ryokan, I saw many reviews praising the hospitality, and after staying here I completely understand why. The service from our attendant and all other staff was excellent, making this trip even more special. We also enjoyed seasonal flavors in the cuisine, and since it was served in our Room we could relax and enjoy it at our own pace. The words said to us at departure—“We look forward to welcoming you again in another season”—left a strong impression on me. We would love to visit again.

I stayed here with my mother. Just as the Reviews said, everything was very well maintained, every meal was delicious, and the bath was clean and comfortable, so we could relax and enjoy it at our own pace. The garden and the interior design of the walkways were also wonderful, giving us many ways to enjoy our stay. All of the staff provided pleasant and welcoming service. My mother was very satisfied and liked it so much that she said she wants to come again. Thank you for creating such a lovely space.

We stayed as a group of five with our daughter and son-in-law and our 5-month-old grandchild. It was our grandchild’s very first trip and their first Onsen experience. As it was a weekday, we were upgraded to the highest-grade Room, which made our stay extremely comfortable with no inconveniences at all. The attendant who looked after us seemed relatively new, but provided courteous service with care in every detail. The private open-air bath was wonderful, and we enjoyed delicious meals. The simmered golden eye snapper in particular had a gentle seasoning and was outstanding. It was also our first time trying the mixed breakfast dish, and it was very tasty. The location is close to Atami Ginza and Sun Beach, making it perfect for strolling around and enjoying local food. Thanks to you, it was a truly satisfying trip in every way. Thank you very much.

Searched for Accommodation with an open-air bath in the Room The Room was exactly what we wanted, and we had a wonderful holiday—no need to carry bath items or a change of clothes to the large public bath, and we could enjoy the Onsen whenever we liked. We chose a Plan with breakfast only. The dried horse mackerel was very delicious. For us, who can’t eat that much, it was just the right amount. Enjoying coffee in the lounge while taking in the lovely view overlooking the harbor was also wonderful. Although it felt like being nestled in the woods, we didn’t see any insects. It was a lovely Accommodation that we would like to use again.

I have been staying here for some time, and recently I always stay for three nights. Each time, the property is quiet and thoroughly cleaned throughout. The wonderful, delicious meals were excellent, and both the open-air bath and the large public bath were spotless. The background music was also pleasant. The Room has two rooms with a veranda, and it was the perfect size for just my spouse and me. The staff’s service was also good.

This Accommodation, Sagamiya, was a wonderful place where we could truly feel traditional Japanese hospitality. As soon as we arrived by car, the staff noticed us right away and came out to assist, kindly helping us park with ease. They guided us to our Room, and the attendant came to greet us and made tea for us. These days we often stay at more Western-style Hotels, so it was a pleasure to enjoy this Japanese-style hospitality again after a long time. We enjoyed a delicious in-room meal in the tatami Room with a lovely view. The open-air bath in the Room was also excellent, and even one night was enough to leave us feeling fully refreshed. All of the staff were very pleasant. We also appreciated the many thoughtful touches throughout our stay—it felt reassuring that experienced staff could make good judgments on the spot. We would love to visit again.

We stayed here for the first time on his birthday, and everything was wonderful. He was delighted and said it was the best Accommodation he has ever stayed at! The teppanyaki meal was delicious, and the Onsen temperature was adjusted so it could be enjoyed even in summer, making it very comfortable and relaxing. Next time, I’d like to visit again with him in winter!

A family trip with two families to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday and my nephew’s birthday. The surprise cake at dinner made it a wonderful family memory. They also accommodated our food allergies, so we could enjoy the delicious meals with peace of mind. Thank you for the outstanding hospitality.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The Facilities, the staff’s atmosphere, and the meals were all excellent. It was clear that each staff member truly loves dogs. We would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed as a family of four. It was the perfect place to relax. Both the historic building and the garden were wonderful, but what stayed with us most was the warm hospitality we received. The large public bath is available from early morning, and we enjoyed multiple baths, making our stay truly fulfilling.

After staying in Toi the previous night, we took it easy, but this day brought such heavy rain that a weather warning was issued. There was nowhere to stop along the way with our dog, so we arrived early. While we were waiting in the car, they kindly let us use the dog run on the first floor a little ahead of time, which truly helped us. All of the staff were very pleasant. This time we had our meal in the Room, and the Asian staff member who brought it to us spoke excellent Japanese and served us with a constant smile. There is also an open-air bath outside; the water was soft and the temperature was just right, so we went in several times. Unfortunately, because of the weather, the view was misty and hard to see—if it had been clear, I’m sure it would have been wonderful. That was our only disappointment, so we’d like to visit again when the weather is better.

All the Hotel staff were very kind, and we were very satisfied. The breakfast restaurant, Onsen, gym, lounge, front desk, and elevators all had plenty of space and never felt crowded, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed and luxurious stay.

The bath in the Room is outstanding. I soaked in the rich, concentrated Onsen water from the natural spring—so generously flowing it felt almost wasteful—and took the in-room bath again and again, letting it seep into my body. I really felt its effects. The next day, after checking out, I visited an art museum and got home around 2:30 p.m. Maybe it was the Onsen’s benefits, but I fell into a deep sleep from about 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., then took a bath, ate only some watermelon, and slept soundly again until morning. I truly felt refreshed. The Room is spacious with an amazing view, and everything is excellent—from the impeccable Facility and attentive service to the great meals. Because a typhoon was coming this time, there are only two photos from this visit; the third photo onward is from my New Year’s stay.

This was our first trip together, and we stayed here to celebrate her birthday. The Room and service were excellent, but above all, we were truly impressed by the meals. Both breakfast and dinner were a wonderful experience. We would definitely like to stay again.

This was our family’s first stay, and it was wonderful. With my birthday coming up the following week, we happened to mention it at check-in, and they surprised me at dinner with live music and a dessert—plus sweets as a gift—to celebrate! We hadn’t informed them in advance about the Reserver, so I was truly touched by the surprise. Thank you very much. All of the staff were professional—from guiding our car on arrival to explaining the Hotel, as well as the lounge and restaurant teams—and they made our stay comfortable from start to finish. The housekeeping staff also greeted us warmly. The Facility was just as beautiful as in the photos, and everything—from the amenities to the in-room sweets and beverages—was thoughtfully selected, which really conveyed their hospitality. The restaurant meals for both breakfast and dinner were vibrant, uncompromising, and absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed by this top-class Accommodation. We will definitely return. We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Because she has allergies and we were visiting for her birthday, we exchanged emails in advance. You responded so kindly and thoughtfully that we were able to arrive with no worries at all. It was raining on the day, but you came out to greet us with an umbrella, carried our heavy luggage to the front desk, and even brought it up to our Room while we were checking in. From the very beginning, we felt reassured and could truly sense your outstanding hospitality. The tea and shaved ice served at check-in were also delicious. The Room was even more wonderful than in the photos. The contrast between the lush green bamboo grove beyond the window and the beautifully shaped white bathtub was breathtaking, and we were able to relax in a refined, calm space. Although it should have been hot outside, once we soaked in the open-air bath we didn’t feel the heat at all—it was incredibly pleasant. Bathing while watching a butterfly resting on leaves right in front of us felt truly extraordinary. Dinner allergy accommodations were perfect. Even with allergen ingredients removed, you ensured each dish still looked just as impressive as others, so my girlfriend could eat with peace of mind. Everything tasted amazing, and I ended up drinking quite a lot. The truffle rice was especially delicious—I had seconds—and I now regret declining when you kindly offered me a third bowl… I later tried to order truffle rice balls via room service at night but service had already ended, so I wished I had eaten more then (laugh). It seemed everyone had been informed about my surprise plan as well; you supported me smoothly throughout so I could prepare within time and carry out the surprise without her noticing. The charlotte cake I requested was also delicious. Thank you so much. To sum it up: choosing Miwa Yugawara for this birthday trip was absolutely the right decision. Every staff member was wonderful and highly service-minded, and I’m truly glad we stayed here. We soothed our fatigue in the open-air bath, felt satisfied with the delicious meals, and your thoughtful care healed our hearts. Thank you again for everything. We look forward to visiting again. Oh—and breakfast was delicious!

The dining area was spacious, and the food was delicious—overall, it was very good. There were also a well-equipped arcade and shop, so we could enjoy ourselves even while staying inside the Hotel. It was also great that there was a nearby ropeway to Atami Castle. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Atami.

I gave my elderly mother, who can go anywhere on her own, a solo trip as a gift. When she returned home, she was truly delighted and spoke very highly of the wonderful service provided by the Ryokan staff. The meals were also delicious, and above all, it seems she was able to relax completely. Thank you very much. My spouse and I travel almost every week, and for the past two years we have stayed at Fujiya Ryokan without fail every month. This was our 37th stay in total. This is purely my personal opinion, but among the many top-class Ryokan, I think the dinner here is outstanding. It easily holds its own against places that cost twice as much per night. The signature eel dish is superb, of course, but what truly impresses us is that even after so many visits we rarely encounter the same dishes—each meal showcases deep, flavorful dashi and seasonal ingredients with remarkable creativity and care. Breakfast, on the other hand, is the same menu each month, yet it never gets old—and it always makes us want to come back again next month. It’s a slight shame there’s no sauna, and opinions may differ about the compact public bath, but we love it: in Yugawara’s clear, silky Onsen water you can also sense a gentle aroma of wood, making it wonderfully relaxing. We consider this a fantastic Accommodation that we absolutely want to visit at least once a month from now on as well.

The Room was spacious and had a veranda-like deck called the Tsukimidai, with a nice view and the ocean visible in the distance. Meals were served in the Room, and every dish was delicious—we finished everything at both breakfast and dinner. However, it was disappointing that the drinks in the refrigerator were expensive. The Onsen also felt very open; while I did wonder if it might be visible from somewhere, I was still able to bathe comfortably. Another bath area was spacious, and the water in the roofed open-air bath left my skin feeling moisturized like lotion. Inside the building, it seems to have been expanded many times over the years, so some areas are a bit confusing, and many guests seemed to get lost. There were only a few souvenirs for sale, and there were no Facilities such as karaoke or table tennis, but it had an old-fashioned Ryokan atmosphere that we really enjoyed.
