Nishi-Shiogama Station × Highly rated for customer service and hospitality at Hotel·Ryokan

It was a new, clean Hotel. Breakfast was also good, with the tables well arranged! The staff at check-in—both men and women—were unpleasant! There were plenty of power outlets, which was helpful! I couldn’t connect to the free Wi‑Fi no matter what!

We stayed as a family with breakfast included, and the Room was clean and well maintained. The bed was firm, and we slept very well. Breakfast offered a wide variety of side dishes, all of which were delicious. Thank you to the staff for their kind service with warm smiles. There was also a large public bath, which we enjoyed at a relaxing pace.

I stayed at a Hotel near Sendai Port to catch the ferry to Nagoya. It’s a typical Business Hotel, but the Room was very clean, and I was glad there was a large public bath. For women, you receive a key at the front desk to use the bath, which felt reassuring since I’ve stayed at a Hotel before where a man mistakenly entered the women’s bath. I didn’t use the in-room bath, but it was very clean and spacious enough. I added breakfast after arrival and enjoyed it. The price was reasonable and very helpful.

I stayed here on a business trip. It’s not far from the station, and there’s a convenience store nearby, which was very convenient.

The building feels old, and some areas are dimly lit, which can feel a bit unsettling. The front desk staff are easy to talk to and very pleasant. Parking in front of the Hotel is limited, but there is a second parking lot right across the street, so it’s not an issue. It’s nice that there are no foreign guests staying here. There are two massage chairs, but one was broken and couldn’t be used. (Since it’s free, no complaints.) It’s also good that you can pick up only the amenities you need at the front desk. They also offer free coffee and tea, which is a nice touch.

It was within walking distance of the station, and with restaurants and convenience stores nearby, it was very convenient. The room was kept clean and I had a comfortable stay. The staff were courteous, making the entire stay pleasant from check-in to check-out. With a great balance of price and service, this Hotel is recommended not only for business trips but also as a base for sightseeing. I would like to stay here again when visiting Sendai, Shiogama, or Matsushima.

Even on a weekday, I stayed at an exceptionally low price. Some of the front desk staff were foreigners, but their service was professional and courteous. The young woman at the front desk in the morning had piercings in her nose, mouth, and ears, but given today’s staffing shortages it was acceptable. I would like to stay here again.

Conveniently located near Hon-Shiogama Station, making it ideal for both sightseeing and business. The building has a sense of history, but the rooms were kept clean and I had a comfortable stay. I was also impressed by how polite and helpful the front desk staff were. Free parking was another big plus. With its calm atmosphere, I was able to rest well, and I’d like to stay here again when visiting Sendai, Shiogama, or the Matsushima area. It’s also a good option for business trips to Sendai, as it’s only about 20 minutes from Sendai on the Senseki Line.

Stayed overnight at the accommodation for sightseeing in Matsushima during Golden Week. The location is very close to Matsushima and also near Shiogama Fish Market. I made a reservation for parking and breakfast in advance by phone. Despite it being Golden Week, there was available parking, which cost ¥400. Breakfast was said to be ¥600. On the day of arrival, the front desk staff kindly informed me: "Are you sure you want to have breakfast here? Most people usually eat at Shiogama Fish Market! Our breakfast is just natto and fish, so if you're paying ¥600, I think you'd enjoy a delicious meal at the fish market more!" Although I had reserved breakfast in advance, they allowed me to cancel it on short notice without any issue. Their kindness didn’t stop there—there was an even bigger surprise! I had reserved three rooms without baths or toilets: two for men and one for women. However, the hotel upgraded the women's room to one with a bath and toilet free of charge! It was such a thoughtful gesture that I truly appreciated. The rooms also have Wi-Fi access! The hotel staff were incredibly kind as well.

I was unsure where to stay for my first time visiting the Sendai Tanabata Festival, but I was able to make a Reservation about a week in advance. The price was very reasonable—around 5,000 yen per person. [During my stay, there was an earthquake around 3:00 a.m. while I was asleep, but it didn’t shake much.] I slept well and had a relaxing night.

Although it was an older Hotel, the Room was spacious and very clean. The Onsen was great! My skin felt moisturized. I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.
