Here at Akayu Onsen, you can enjoy the finest Onsen with a faint scent of sulfur. The area is rich in culture, with ties to the legacy of Uesugi Yozan. The Okitama Basin nurtures exceptional rice, vegetables, and fruits. The rice transforms into sake, and the grapes into wine. This is a distinguished property with a history as the "Akayu Goten" villa of the Uesugi family, lords of the Yonezawa domain. Enjoy a hot spring tour at "Higashi-yu," featuring five baths such as the large stone bath and square bath, and "Nishi-yu," with six baths including the Aomori Hiba wood bath and barrel bath. After savoring a kaiseki meal incorporating carefully selected ingredients from Yamagata, such as Yonezawa beef, relax in a tranquil Japanese-style room.

A unique accommodation where you can enjoy rare fishing experiences. You can try three types of fishing: crucian carp, rainbow trout, and koi. We offer rooms with private rivers for koi fishing from the terrace and special rooms where you can fish for crucian carp directly from your room. There is also an indoor fishing pond, allowing you to enjoy fishing even on rainy days. Other amenities are equally appealing. For dog lovers, we have a spacious dog run and pet-friendly rooms available. The new special suite in the annex is highly recommended for large dogs as it allows them to roam freely indoors. For dining, we serve seasonal creative cuisine featuring the flavors of Yamagata's local ingredients. The Hotel, which reopened in April 2024 after renovations, features two restaurants, banquet halls, and a fitness club, with the addition of a new bathing Facility "Yuparu" and a bakery "Parsona"! "Yuparu" includes the first carbonated spring bath and sauna in the Okitama region, available for use by our guests. The restaurants include the panoramic restaurant "Charois" on the 9th floor and the Japanese cuisine restaurant "Iiden" on the 1st floor. Additionally, Rooms of moderate type and above have been newly renovated, offering a fresh and modern design.
