Located about a 5-minute taxi ride from JR Tendo Station, "Tendoso" has been in operation for over 100 years since its founding as an eel restaurant in the early Meiji era. This small-scale accommodation features only 11 rooms, focusing on providing personalized hospitality to each guest. All guest rooms offer the enjoyment of Onsen. The property includes unique spaces such as "Rijin-kyo," a detached single-story building with traditional Sukiya-style architecture, and "Azumatei," a suite blending modern functionality with the aesthetic charm of Japanese-Western design. Tsuruya is an Accommodation with tatami flooring throughout. As the tea ceremony flourished from the Azuchi–Momoyama period onward, tatami came to cover entire Rooms, and Japanese people began sitting in seiza.Beyond tea ceremony, many Japanese arts ending in “-do”—such as calligraphy, flower arrangement, and judo—are deeply connected to tatami, which is considered a foundation that helped shape the Japanese spirit.Space, cuisine, and hospitality—this is what a Ryokan offers as it embraces the beauty of Japan’s four seasons in every detail.
