A serene stay in harmony with nature, deep in the Nyuto Onsen area

Opened in 1902. Located deepest within the Nyuto Onsen area. Surrounded by majestic mountains, we have protected these precious natural hot springs for generations. Our Onsen facilities include separate indoor baths for men and women, a mixed-gender indoor bath, and a mixed-gender open-air bath. There are three different spring sources. You can enjoy three distinct types of Onsen. Magoroku Onsen Rokuan is a rare village-style Ryokan, with buildings separated into individual lodges. It may not feel luxurious in every way, but because you will often step outside, you can experience Magoroku’s great nature directly. The stillness of summer nights, the beauty of the morning sun, and the cool breeze. There are experiences and moments of awe that can only be found here. We have six Rooms in total; each Room accommodates up to two guests for a relaxing stay. Our dining area is counter-style and is the only place where all guests gather at once. A Ryokan that connects nature and people—and brings people together as well.

A hidden gem for adults, this B&B is nestled on the shores of Japan's deepest and most beautiful lake, Lake Tazawa in Akita Prefecture.

The Bed & Breakfast style Property offers a serene time, space, and companionship for adults. If such a Property were nearby, you might find yourself heading there even after work. Jazz flows not only in the bar but also in the bathroom, and on First Saturdays, enjoy impromptu sessions featuring Makiko Suzuki's piano as the main act alongside local musicians who join in spontaneously. With over 100 labels of whiskey, lakeside forest beer, and local sake "Hideyoshi," the selection is impressive. While meals are not provided, there is a variety of delicious snacks like prosciutto and smoked platters. As you remind yourself to drink responsibly, you might quietly muse that this is how adults enjoy life. The next morning, rest assured that breakfast is served. The moment you bite into a rice ball made with top-grade Akita Komachi rice by local artisan Sonosuke, seasoned with natural salt from Oga, you'll feel a renewed gratitude for being born in Japan. Order a cup of freshly roasted coffee, and it's time to wrap up your refreshing overnight stay. For stays longer than a week, a separate cottage is available. Could it be a perfect spot for a workation or even a remote office?
