Sakuraoka Station × Highly rated for dining at Hotel·Ryokan

I made a Reservation for my family’s stay. They said the breakfast was delicious, there was soft-serve ice cream, and the Room was comfortable.

One of the joys of visiting Asahikawa is staying at this Hotel. The breakfast is simply delicious! The freshly baked bread—croissants and crispy Danish pastries—is always excellent. And the homemade pudding in a jar! I always end up having two or three. There’s also a great selection of farmer’s bacon, curry, Japanese rolled omelet, simmered dishes, and salads. The single Room is spacious and easy to use, and the front desk staff are kind and helpful. True to its name, the whole Hotel has a calm atmosphere, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from Asahikawa Station while strolling through Kaimono Koen. The price is reasonable as well, and I think it’s one of Asahikawa’s standout Hotels. It’s also adorable that there are large plush penguins and seals inside the Hotel. This is a Hotel that makes you want to stay again every time.

Because hotel prices in Sapporo surged for the Arashi concert, we decided to stay in Asahikawa. We made a Reservation at a Hotel near Asahikawa Station, and it was excellent.\nThey had manga available and drinks you could enjoy anytime, so the services were very well provided. When they learned we were staying for the Arashi concert, they even spoke to us. I would like to stay here again.

The Room was spotless, and despite it being a busy season, the large public bath was almost like having it to ourselves—I was able to relax and enjoy it both at night and in the morning. Above all, I was amazed by the incredible variety at breakfast! I’ve stayed at many places from budget to luxury, and I’d say this ranks among the top five in terms of selection. With plenty of both Japanese and Western options, I honestly think you should stay at least two nights just to fully enjoy the breakfast. I also loved that the bread selection wasn’t the usual lineup—there was a pretzel-like bread with a light salty flavor that was delicious. Also, my check-in happened to coincide with a time when a line had formed, but the staff were excellent—efficient and professional without being overwhelmed by impatient guests. (I didn’t realize my own mistake until right before check-in—thank you for your help.) You can go back and forth between the large public bath and the breakfast venue in loungewear, there’s even a coin laundry inside the women’s bath area (!), and beyond its unbeatable location right in front of Asahikawa Station with a convenience store on the first floor, this Hotel was truly full of charm.

The service was attentive, and the breakfast buffet was delicious and very satisfying. The bed was also very comfortable. The hotel uses ultra-soft water, which was excellent. The post-bath amenities were also a nice touch.

One of my favorite Hotels, and I've stayed here several times! On the day of my stay, it was the last day of the summer festival, and the streets were bustling with people. It was lively and fun, so I couldn't help but join in! (Haha) The Hotel offered a drink service with beer available, as well as snacks like beans. I also appreciated being able to park my bike for free—thank you! The complimentary breakfast in the morning was also much appreciated. Looking forward to staying again!

When I lived in Asahikawa, I used to dine at this restaurant because the food was excellent. For this stay, I chose the Plan with breakfast. The asparagus dishes and the ramen made fresh on the spot—along with many other delicious options—were all outstanding, and I was very satisfied. The Room feels a bit dated, but the food more than makes up for it. I will stay here again.

Breakfast was included at this price, and there was a great selection of amenities such as shampoo. The Wi-Fi signal was weak, which concerned me. The front desk staff restarted it for me and it improved somewhat, but it was still unstable. So I ended up using the more stable Wi-Fi in the lobby. Even though it was late at night, the staff kindly asked, “Have you had ochazuke?” and “Would you like another serving?” which made me very happy. I didn’t expect to be able to enjoy breakfast at this price, so that was another great point. However, the restroom on the first floor had an unpleasant odor, which was disappointing. As for the Room, it was spacious and comfortable, so I would like to stay again.

I was very satisfied!! The building isn’t particularly large or new, so if you care a lot about Hotel grade, my Review may not be helpful—but I truly had a wonderful stay. There were four of us, including my 6-year-old grandchild, and the Room was spacious and open, very comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. There was a children’s play area, and we could borrow plenty of books and toys. The complimentary snacks and drinks were also a nice touch. At night we were too tired to go out for dinner, but it really helped that we could buy food at the front desk. If I have another chance to visit Asahikawa, I would love to stay here again.

The building is not new, but it is very clean, and the breakfast was delicious.

1. “2 minutes on foot from Asahikawa Station” seems unrealistic; it’s probably about a 5-minute walk (depending on where you start). 2. It was lively, with many guests who seemed to be Chinese. On the Room floor, there were leftovers placed outside some doors. 3. There was coffee and newspapers on the first floor, and I could relax and read them on the sofa. 4. The Onsen is also open to day-use visitors. I used it in the morning and evening; it was very comfortable.

I stayed here for one night with my daughter, who lives in Sapporo, as we planned a trip toward Asahikawa. In a word, it exceeded our expectations. A cute little old-man doll welcomed us at the entrance. The front desk is on the 3rd floor, and they greeted us cheerfully at any time. Next to the front desk there is a drink corner, and in the morning you can have bread and potato salad there. In addition to what is provided in the Room, you can also choose from several types of shampoo and conditioner to take with you. We had a twin Room, but it had plenty of space and didn’t feel cramped. You can also see the town from the window. The bath and toilet are together, and the bathtub is extremely small, but it’s fine for women. It may be difficult for larger men or guests traveling with small children. More than making up for the small bath, the cleanliness, Room size, convenient access, and excellent service made this stay a favorite. Thank you very much.

Conveniently located near the station and shopping center. The Hotel itself seemed new and provided a comfortable stay.

Whenever I travel to Asahikawa, I always stay at this Hotel, and it is very clean. I stayed here last year and had a great experience, so I chose it again this time—and it was excellent. It is directly connected to AEON, making shopping very convenient. I would like to stay here again when I visit Asahikawa.

This was my second stay after visiting Asahikawa. I stayed in a Room with a rock bath. The bath in the Room was very clean, and being able to use it 24 hours a day made it feel luxurious. The breakfast portion was just right, and next time we gather with relatives, I’d like to stay here again.

My husband’s birthday coincided with a conference in Asahikawa, so we were looking for a Hotel and chose this one after seeing the breakfast photos. The Hotel was clean, and our Room had an origami tulip and a handwritten birthday message card. It made us feel very welcome, and it seems they also accommodated our request for the view—we were given a top-floor Room with a great view. Unfortunately, the pillow had an oily smell, which made my husband wonder if it hadn’t been washed. Also, the breakfast was very different from the photos, and both the menu and variety were disappointing. Parking at AEON was convenient, and the Hotel location is excellent, so I think more guests would come if the breakfast matched the photos.

Having a Seicomart convenience store in the building was very convenient for picking up breakfast.

It was easy to find and get to right after exiting the station. When I asked the front desk about places to go out at night, they quickly looked it up for me and even made a copy, which was very helpful. The Room was clean and comfortable, but I could hear some voices from next door. I requested breakfast, and since I often end up eating only what I like while traveling, the Japanese set meal gave me a calm, satisfying meal. It was delicious—I even had seconds of rice and miso soup, sorry about that. It was a reasonably priced Hotel that I was satisfied with. Thank you for your help. It became a great memory. The Room is fully equipped, with a standard refrigerator, a microwave on top of it, and a washing machine near the entrance. Of course, the bath and sauna were excellent. Rather than staying at a Hotel, it felt like I was staying in an unused Room at someone I know’s home—it was very comfortable. I definitely want to come again.
