Everything—the views, the Room, the baths, the meals, and the hospitality—was outstanding. My whole family kept saying again and again that we had never stayed at such a wonderful Ryokan. First of all, the baths! The view of Otaru spread out below from the open-air bath was breathtaking. (We also really appreciated that the amenities were from a well-known cosmetics brand and that towels were always available.) Inside the Ryokan, there were furnishings that evoked the former prosperity of the Herring Mansion, making it an irresistible place for history lovers. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I especially can’t forget the potato with butter sauce—a long-loved specialty of this Ryokan. It was such an incredible time that I almost didn’t want to recommend it to others. I definitely want to come back again next time.

The bath in the Room is spacious and also has an amazing view. Best of all, you can fully open the sliding windows for a wonderful sense of openness—you can even watch seagulls dive right in front of you. In addition, both dinner and breakfast were excellent French cuisine, an

I stayed for one night while sightseeing in Otaru. The Hotel has great access to the main street, and there is a convenience store right next door, which was very convenient. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, all delicious—I was almost disappointed that I couldn’t finish everything. Since the Hotel is new, it was clean overall, but it was a bit disappointing to find mold around the Room’s plumbing areas (such as the base of the sink faucet and the corners of the bathtub). That said, the staff were courteous and helpful, and I had a comfortable stay. I would like to stay here again when I visit Otaru.

This trip to Hokkaido was a three-sister getaway to celebrate my older sister’s 70th birthday. I requested a birthday message plate, and on the day you kindly prepared a private Room for us. The dessert message plate was wonderful as well! Dinner, including the grilled scallops, was absolutely delicious. I’ve been recommending this Accommodation to my friends—if you’re going to Otaru, please be sure to stay here! Thank you very much. The staff were very kind, and we truly enjoyed talking with you. We stayed here during the Obon holidays as a family of three. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was delicious, and it made our trip truly wonderful.

After sightseeing in Sapporo and Otaru during the peak Obon holiday period, our family of four stayed here. We had a connecting room with a great view, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast venue the next morning was not crowded, so we could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. As guests receive a 5% discount, we bought lots of souvenirs at the shop, and we were able to arrange shipping at the front desk, which made things much easier both physically and mentally. My return from the airport was late, so I stayed at a Hotel about 30 minutes before reaching home. I expected a beautiful, clean Hotel based on the photos, but it was even nicer in person, and the Room was spacious. The breakfast was so delicious that I was truly impressed. The view was great too, and I was happy to find such a hidden-gem Hotel so close by. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet; it was an amazing meal made by the owner—an egg served on top of incredibly delicious bread. I’ll definitely come again!
