“Sawando” means “a place where rivers meet.” In December 1998, Onsen water was brought to this area—long used as a gateway to Kamikochi—and Sawando Onsen was born. Our inn opened five years later, in July 2003. Surrounded by mountains and little else, Keiryuso Shiorie warmly welcomes you. "Yamasato no Iori Soen" is a restored traditional Hida farmhouse originally built in the late Edo period. The gentle flow of air within the house creates a serene atmosphere, enveloping your heart with warmth. Its century-old history exudes profound charm and evokes the nostalgic spirit of a mountain village. The main attraction is the Onsen, boasting an overwhelming amount of hot spring water. Enjoy a liberating bath in the large open-air bath that can accommodate up to 50 people.
