“Sawando” means “a place where rivers meet.” In December 1998, Onsen water was brought to this area—long used as a gateway to Kamikochi—and Sawando Onsen was born. Our inn opened five years later, in July 2003. Surrounded by mountains and little else, Keiryuso Shiorie warmly welcomes you. "Yamasato no Iori Soen" is a restored traditional Hida farmhouse originally built in the late Edo period. The Yumoto Saito Ryokan, with a history of 284 years, is a charming property blending the Shirahone Onsen and the traditional ambiance of Shinshu. The onsen, sourced from its own spring since the Kamakura period, is milky white and is said to be effective for gastrointestinal ailments. All 53 guest rooms are named after notable novelists and poets, offering a serene space for relaxation. Additionally, you can savor Japanese seasonal course meals featuring the bounty of Shinshu's mountains and rivers.

At the central highland property of Fukuchi Onsen, you can enjoy gender-separated open-air baths and three private open-air baths. The mountain range of Okuhida and the gentle sound of the river beyond the steam provide a pleasant and relaxing time. Renovated in 2018, the atrium lobby includes a fireplace to soothe tired bodies after a stroll. The bright and open restaurant serves seasonal Japanese kaiseki cuisine. Spacious guest rooms combine the best of Western and Japanese styles, equipped with a shower booth and toilet, accommodating up to 4 guests.
