A renowned Ryokan, Sumiya Ryokan, featuring a sukiya-style architecture, offers an exceptional sense of tranquility that feels far removed from the bustling streets of Kyoto. The kaiseki dinner is exquisite, and on the evenings of the 7th and 17th each month, tea ceremonies are held in the tea room for your enjoyment.

A single private Room occupying an entire floor, offering a spacious 60 square meters with large windows for a bright and open atmosphere. The unique interior design focuses on colors and textures, featuring Room wear, furnishings, and amenities centered around the Jürgen Lehl/Babaghuri brand—an experience exclusive to MALDA. For breakfast, enjoy seasonal organic vegetable dishes, passed down from the Jürgen Lehl staff cafeteria, served in your Room. Tawara-an is an Accommodation renovated from a traditional Kyoto townhouse built in 1897. While preserving the original layout of the machiya row house once used as both workshop and home by an artisan who crafted the Imperial Seal (official seal) for the Imperial Family, it has been updated with interiors that bring a modern touch. The concept of this Kyoto machiya Accommodation is “a place to stay as if you live in Kyoto.” Enjoy Kyoto’s unique atmosphere to the fullest while staying here like a local.

Located south of the Imperial Palace, Fuyacho Nijo offers convenient access to anywhere in Kyoto city. This spacious Kyo-machiya, built approximately 150 years ago, has been renovated to preserve its original layout and atmosphere while adapting to modern living. Inside this "home" that expresses Japan's traditional culture through high-quality materials, you'll find "Karimoku Furniture" seamlessly integrated, creating a comfortable space that feels both fresh and nostalgically familiar. As a large Kyo-machiya that can accommodate up to 8 guests, it is perfect for spending warm and memorable moments under one roof with close friends, long-lost classmates, or family and relatives who live far apart.

The area with the Facility is located just north of the "Kyoto City Hall," which has supported the history of the ancient capital. The Teramachi Street and Ebisugawa Street around the Facility are lined with antique shops, galleries, and furniture stores that give a sense of Kyoto's charm, making it a popular spot for sightseeing and strolling, allowing you to enjoy the local atmosphere of Kyoto. The renowned Japanese tea specialty store "Ippodo," a long-established shop representing Kyoto, is bustling with many tourists daily and is located a 2-minute walk from the Facility. A short walk will take you to Kawaramachi Street, Sanjo Shopping Street, and Shinkyogoku Shopping Street, Kyoto's downtown areas, which are enjoyed by both tourists and locals. The convenient location will enhance your journey.

Nishiki Market, Kiyamachi, and Heian Shrine are within walking distance. Just a 5-minute walk from Sanjo Station, where both the subway and express trains stop, and right in front of Kamogawa River and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Mont is located in the perfect spot.
