Around Shizuoka City Nihondaira Zoo × Highly rated for customer service and hospitality at Hotel·Ryokan

We stayed for two nights with three generations, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied—not only with the magnificent views from the lobby and our Room, but also with the wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. The staff’s attentive, warm service and smiles were especially memorable, and we felt a gentle, clear, pleasant atmosphere throughout the Hotel. Shizuoka has many sightseeing spots, including a history museum that children can enjoy and Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo (this zoo has many thoughtful touches and is truly recommended), so every generation can have a great time. After check-out, we also went to Shimizu Port to enjoy dining and shopping. We visited several attractions including Toshogu Shrine, but there was so much to see that next time we would like to stay at this Hotel again and take more time to fully enjoy both the places we visited this time as well. This was our first stay. My wife, who is very particular about everything, said, “This Room is comfortable, so we’ll be fine,” and even wanted to cancel the other Hotels we had planned. We were wondering what to do for a four-week Hotel stay during our home renovation, so we consulted the front desk. Despite being busy, they kindly helped us, and as a result we changed our plans and stayed long-term. The breakfast selection was extensive, and my wife—who rarely eats out due to food allergies and usually has to cook for herself—enjoyed it every morning without getting tired of it. The lounge, the Onsen, and the parking were all excellent as well, and every staff member was very courteous. When we mentioned a concern about cleaning, they responded immediately. We are truly grateful that our long stay went smoothly. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

It was a simple, lovely, spacious Room. My child was very happy as well. Just one thing: the walls were thin, and the guests in the next Room were noisy until late at night, so we couldn’t sleep. I suppose that may be a downside of being able to accommodate many people. We would appreciate it if you could consider some soundproofing measures. Overall, our stay was excellent, and the staff were very considerate, so we would like to stay again.

This was my first time in Shizuoka, and I chose Prive as my Accommodation near the station—I was very satisfied. It’s truly close to Shizuoka Station, and even after checkout they kindly stored my luggage, so I could pick it up without rushing to catch the Shinkansen home. Above all, the spa was wonderful; as a woman, I really appreciated that Re products, cleansing items, and other amenities were fully provided. After returning from the bath to the Room, I couldn’t stop praising it to my husband. Of course, I went to the spa again in the morning too. Thank you for a lovely stay. I’ll definitely use your Accommodation again when I visit Shizuoka—and I’ll recommend it as well.

Being close to the station is everything. No matter what, being close to the station matters most. Getting to the Accommodation can be tough with luggage, but you arrive in no time, which is wonderful. They even offer a welcome drink service—thank you.

It was a wonderful Hotel with a beautiful garden. The garden has a pond and is truly lovely—well worth seeing. The Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and we enjoyed plenty. They also had Shizuoka’s local specialty, black hanpen. Parking was available in the adjacent lot as well, and it cost 1,500 yen.

The Room was very clean, the amenities were well provided, and the Hotel staff were kind. Even without meals included, bread was available in the morning. We felt thoughtful attention in every aspect. I rated only the bathroom a 3 because the shower required adjusting both the hot and cold taps, which was slightly inconvenient. It was very comfortable, and I would like to stay again.

We stayed with my parents, my spouse and I, our three children, and one dog. We arrived after 2:00 pm, and they kindly allowed us to check in. We stayed in two Rooms, Seiran and Gekpaku, and breakfast was served for all seven of us together in Seiran. For dinner, the seven of us gathered around the irori hearth to grill the ingredients we brought, enjoying a relaxed time together. It was also fun to use the Tuk-Tuk Shuttle Service to Mochimune Station and Mochimune Minato Onsen. The grassy garden and cool earthen-floor area were comfortable for our dog as well, making this a pleasant trip for the whole family. We would love to visit again in a different season.

The Room was clean, and it was great that the bath and toilet were separate. Since this trip was partly for work, the breakfast hours were not an issue, but if staying only for business, a 7:00 a.m. breakfast start feels a bit late and might make this Accommodation less likely to be considered.

A new Hotel just steps from Shimizu Station. Many guests stay here for business trips and training. The welcome drink bar offers soft drinks and alcohol, so you can relax in your Room. There are several types of toothbrush amenities, and the drip coffee is a nice touch. It was a shame that the morning juice and cold tea were moved to the buffet area. The breakfast buffet has a smaller selection, but I was very satisfied with the morning curry with plenty of root vegetables, athlete-style pork miso soup, salad, salmon, whitebait, and yogurt. The Room was a spacious double. I slept very well.

Conveniently located, reasonably priced, and kept very clean throughout the Facility. It’s also nice to be able to move around the Facility, including the dining area, in Room wear. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I enjoyed a well-balanced and satisfying meal. I will continue to stay here in the future.

Although it was a bit far from the station, there was a convenience store on the ground floor, which was very convenient. Facing a main road also made it easy to find. There is no large public bath or Onsen, but the in-room shower had been replaced with a Mirable showerhead, which felt new and nice. The amenity buffet was so well stocked that you could arrive empty-handed without any issues, and there were also pillows to choose from, so I could relax comfortably in an environment close to what I’m used to at home. On the front desk floor, there was a tea dispenser available at all times, and until 6:00 p.m., dumplings were provided as sweets. In addition, several kinds of obanzai and one alcoholic drink were served free of charge until 9:00 p.m., and I felt the complimentary services were very thorough. I booked the No Meals Included Plan but purchased a breakfast voucher on site and had breakfast as well. There was an excellent variety of Shizuoka-style items such as tuna sashimi, whitebait (shirasu), horse mackerel takikomi rice, and grilled eel (kabayaki), more than enough to leave me fully satisfied. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that there wasn’t an ice bucket provided in the room, so I ended up using paper cups at the ice machine, which was slightly inconvenient. Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay.

Thank you for hosting me again for one night. At check-in, there was a complimentary drink service to choose from, plus a chilled pot of Shizuoka tea and coffee/tea vending machines—so it was great not having to worry about drinks. There were also single chocolates and peanuts. Thank you as well for the bottled water in the Room refrigerator. Also, using the in-Room massage chair (a pretty good one) for a thorough massage and then soaking in the bathtub helped reduce next-day fatigue. If there’s availability next time, I’d like to use the rental bicycles.

Only one drink of either beer or hoppy was included, but the all-you-can-drink alcohol option was great. Since we arrived late, it was disappointing that we couldn’t have the curry and natto (?). I wish they had refilled them as well. Also, the Room was spacious and clean.

I stay here every time I visit Shizuoka. Both the building and the Room have a classic, charming atmosphere, and the service is courteous. It feels warmer than a Business Hotel, making for a comfortable stay. I also appreciate having bottled water provided in the refrigerator. The hospitality is refined and perfectly balanced—nothing lacking, nothing excessive. Thank you very much.

I stayed on the first day of the latter half of Golden Week. I arrived before noon, but they kindly stored my luggage so I could enjoy sightseeing in the afternoon hands-free. They also kept my luggage after checkout, which was a huge help. On top of that, breakfast was delicious. When a Hotel provides great service, it makes for a fun trip that stays in your memory.

It was a very comfortable Hotel. The staff were kind, and the Room had a calm atmosphere, which was great. One disappointing thing was that the refrigerator did not get cold at all.

This is a Hotel I often use in the relatively quiet area south of the station. This time, they arranged a high-floor room for me, and it was quiet at night as well, so I had a comfortable stay.

Rather than just being near Miho no Matsubara, it felt like there was a Ryokan right within it. You can easily take a walk to Miho no Matsubara and the beach. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we enjoyed the scent of hinoki in the in-room bath. If I have the chance, I would like to stay again.

From check-in to dining service, the hospitality was excellent and we were very satisfied. The wonderful service made the delicious food even better. The fish, meat, and vegetables were all high quality, and the dashi was flawlessly tasty. The matcha beer, Hyuganatsu beer, and sake (Nihonto) were also great. It was a very good Ryokan that I can recommend to anyone. If I have a chance to visit Shizuoka again, I’d like to stay here again.
