I visited with friends in March, and this time I came with my son’s family. The food is simply delicious, and even my five-year-old grandchild can have fun at the amusement park and inside the Hotel. Beer was available after bathing and during meals as well, which made my daughter-in-law very happy. The meals were excellent—both grilled Hamana Lake eel (kabayaki) and white-grilled eel (shirayaki) were so good that I ate far too much. I usually don’t eat seafood bowls elsewhere (because they’re not tasty), but for some reason I end up having them here. And the staff who prepare the food are very kind. Next time, I’d like to bring my daughter’s family too. The desserts made with local ingredients and the small dishes are also delicious. I don’t think there is any other Hotel buffet as good as this. The only problem is that I eat too much and gain weight. Even breakfast has great variety, and even the scrambled eggs taste wonderful. The shirasu and eel onigiri-style rice balls were very satisfying too. With four adults and one small child, it’s hard to deny that the room feels a bit small. But since a larger room would have doubled the price, we ended up trying to save money. Well, we only sleep there anyway. This may be a bit rambling, but considering the price, all I can say is thank you very much. If possible, I think a dry sauna would be better than the current one in the bath area.

I traveled with my dog and friends. It was my first time at Wanpara Lake Hamana, and I was truly impressed by how kind the staff were. The meals were wonderful—enjoyable to look at and delicious to eat. There was a clean dog run for dogs, and we had a great time playing there. The Onsen was also excellent. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

Thank you for staying in the Room with such a wonderful view. The scenery was so spectacular that my son stayed up almost all night enjoying the night view from the 42nd floor. Perhaps because of that, he had trouble waking up in the morning and we only just made it to breakfast in time. We would love to stay again if we have another opportunity.

A relaxing trip for a couple in our 50s. The bath was very pleasant, and the complimentary Yakult after bathing was excellent. The meals were generous, and the eel kamameshi at the end was delicious. If it weren’t for the loud noise from the in-room refrigerator and the extremely loud motorcycles at night, we think this would be an outstanding Accommodation.

I made a Reservation for my mother, who loves buffets. Based on the Reviews, I wasn’t expecting much from the Facility, but everything was great: cleanliness was good, service was good—more than that, their consideration was outstanding. After I mentioned that my mother has difficulty walking, the staff at the dining reception spoke to us and looked after us, which made our stay very comfortable. Thank you so much. Top-tier buffet-focused Hotels tend to be attentive like this, but some aren’t, so I really appreciated it. The little extras—like ice cream after the bath and morning lassi—also felt like a big plus. The bath had a slight chlorine smell, but it was clean; there was a shampoo bar and plenty of basic skincare amenities as well. If you’re looking to cut costs, I’d rather have shower caps than disposable hairbrushes—and if you clearly state in advance that brushes aren’t provided, that would be fine too. The food wasn’t particularly novel, but everything was delicious and satisfying. What especially stood out—as many others have said—was the grilled eel kabayaki!! I was amazed by the quality. At this price point it’s unbelievable: large eel with great texture and rich flavor. We’ll definitely come again!

We stayed on the one-night, two-meal plan with a Room assigned by the property, including grilled eel (kabayaki). The price was reasonable and the meals were delicious. However, it was disappointing that the website says parking is 800 yen, but when we asked at the front desk we were told we could use the municipal parking lot behind the property for 420 yen. It would be appreciated if this could be noted on the website. It was great to have a clear view of Bentenjima’s red torii gate right in front of us from our Room. We would like to stay again if we have another opportunity.

I stayed here for a live event at Ecopa. Check-in was until 10 PM, but since I arrived at Bentenjima Station just before 10 PM and went to buy dinner at a convenience store first, I called to inform them that I would be checking in after 10 PM. The staff responded very kindly and warmly, which made me feel reassured. When I arrived, they informed me that the Onsen was open until 11 PM. When I asked if it would be okay as long as I left the bath by 11 PM, they assured me not to worry since there were still other guests who hadn't arrived yet. Although the person who answered my call earlier was different from the one who greeted me upon arrival, it felt like all staff were well-trained and caring, which left a warm impression on me. The view from my room was great. Since it was late when I checked in, I only used the room for sleeping, but it was very comfortable. Instead of traditional futons on tatami mats, there were mattresses with futons laid on top of them, allowing for a soft and restful sleep. If there's one thing I'd wish for—it would have been nice if the Onsen could also be used in the morning since its hours started from 3 PM. The location is right in front of the station with a convenience store nearby; combined with excellent service from the staff, I'd love to stay here again if I'm ever visiting Shizuoka again. You’ll head in through a surprisingly narrow passageway that makes you wonder, “Are we really going in here!?”—but the location is very convenient, just a short walk from Kanzanji, with an eel restaurant nearby, making the stay very comfortable. The Room was also very clean. However, compared to the Facility’s stated capacity, there were far too few dining chairs—only six. Since we stayed with seven people, it was quite inconvenient. The Goemon-style bath was interesting, but there wasn’t much firewood, and it still felt insufficient for seven people. That said, the Goemon-style bath, the movable hanging tent, and the view were all incredibly fun. We also enjoyed watching the tides come in and out. There is a bedroom on the second floor, but since there’s no sink or similar amenities up there, it wasn’t very convenient to use.
