Bansuiro Fukuzumi is a historic Onsen accommodation in Hakone Yumoto, established in 1625 during the Kan'ei era, with its own private hot spring source. During the late Edo to Meiji periods, it hosted notable figures such as the 15th Shogun Tokugawa Yoshinobu, Yukichi Fukuzawa, Hirobumi Ito, and Takamori Saigo. In 2002, it became the first active Ryokan to be designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. Now celebrating its 393rd year since establishment, we continue to offer heartfelt hospitality that delights our guests without resting on our historical laurels.

We are a small, unpretentious onsen property run by a couple. Utilizing Mount Fuji's lava, the synergy of far-infrared rays and the onsen warms the body to its core and leaves the skin smooth! The increase in body temperature boosts immunity! Private baths (for a fee) are also available.
