This was our second stay. Last time, I came with my daughter, and the French dinner was so outstanding that I knew we had to return someday. That wish came true, and this time I was able to bring my two sons. Since it was my younger son’s birthday, I ordered a cake through the Hotel website and they kindly prepared it for us. The food is, of course, top-class—both dinner and breakfast are highly recommended. The Onsen was also wonderful, with silky-smooth water. We would love to visit for a third time. Thank you very much to all the staff.

I’ve stayed here many times. This time, three adults stayed, and the Room was spacious and very clean. I’m somewhat sensitive to smells, but I was able to use the pillows and towels without any concern. The towels were pure white, fluffy, and felt great. The amenities were also much higher quality than at other Hotels I’ve stayed at recently, which made me very happy. My favorite thing about this Hotel is the breakfast buffet. I look forward to it every time, and compared with my stay in spring, there was an even wider selection of delicious Akita specialties this time—I’m disappointed I couldn’t try everything. The hospitality of the person who makes the rice balls is wonderful every time, and it always moves me. I’m planning to stay again next month, so I’m really looking forward to it.

We stayed here with our daughters during summer vacation. Despite the reasonable price, the hospitality was outstanding. Dinner was served in a private room so we could relax, and the large public bath was clean and truly soothing. Breakfast was a buffet, and everything we tried was delicious—such a fun experience. This is an Accommodation that makes you want to come back regularly to unwind.

Since my femur fracture, we’ve been staying in a Room with an open-air bath, and we’re completely satisfied with the meals, the Room, and the bath. The staff are wonderful as well, so we keep coming back. It’s a bit far away, but it’s our couple’s motto: “For birthdays, we come here.”

In conclusion, the value for the price was outstanding. The Room was clean and spacious, and we also appreciated the table and chairs on the balcony. We were amazed by the Onsen water quality. We never expected such a strong sulfur scent from an Onsen in this area! The private open-air bath in the Room had a ceramic tub, and it was wonderful to soak comfortably with our legs stretched out. It was so good that we used it many times! We felt the upper slat of the privacy screen could be removed without any issue. It would make a big difference in how open it feels. The food also surprised us. Since we chose a standard Plan, we honestly didn’t expect that much, but there were many local ingredients and thoughtful touches—and above all, everything was seasoned beautifully and tasted excellent. We felt the head chef must be truly exceptional. We’re very interested in the chef’s choice course! All of the staff were kind as well. It was so great that we went ahead and made another Reservation for one month later.

We stayed here a year ago, and my mother loved it, so we came back again this year. The Room was thoroughly cleaned, and we had a very comfortable stay. At dinner, the oyster clear soup had an elegant flavor. Overall, the food was delicious and satisfying, but we couldn’t resist ordering Yokote yakisoba to share as an extra. The late-night noodles were also tasty and easy to finish. For breakfast this year they served Sakihokore rice again—it was so good that everyone went back for seconds and finished everything. We realized this Plan was the same as last year, but we were completely satisfied. I’m not sure if we’ll be able to bring our elderly family members next year, but if we have the chance, we’d love to stay again.

The Room, the food, and the staff were all excellent. The only disappointment was that you can’t see the outside view from the large public bath. However, with this Room Plan, we could use a private bath for free and received a welcome drink, along with other nice extras we didn’t notice at the time of Reservation, which made it a great trip. I’d love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

I recently stayed at Hotel Foresta Chokai. Above all, the staff were incredibly kind, and I had a very comfortable stay. From the moment I arrived, they took great care of me, and it’s the kind of wonderful hotel that makes you think, “I want to stay here again.” The room was comfortable, and the setting—surrounded by nature with views that let you truly feel Mt. Chokai—was fantastic. The famous Hottai Falls is also nearby and easy to reach by car, so it’s a great place to enjoy sightseeing along with your stay. And most of all, the hot springs were amazing! The open-air bath was especially relaxing, and I was happy to hear that guests can use the private family bath free of charge as well. I enjoyed the hot springs at night, and by chance it was quiet during the first-bath hours in the morning too, so I went again. Being able to enjoy them both at night and in the morning made me feel like I got an extra-special experience. This is a warm and welcoming hotel where you can relax in beautiful natural surroundings, enjoy excellent hot springs, and be treated kindly by everyone on staff. I really loved my stay this time and would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I enjoyed using the on-site bath facility. The natural hot spring bath was very relaxing. Since my stay was No Meals Included, I cannot comment on the food, but I appreciated the complimentary late-night ramen, which was delicious. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance.

An early Father’s Day gift: an Onsen trip! He was really happy to relax and take his time enjoying both the Onsen and the meals, and I was glad to see him so pleased.

Dinner at the Hotel restaurant was inexpensive and very delicious. The entire Hotel has been renovated, and it was comfortable.

I came to Kakunodate for the first time to see the weeping cherry blossoms at the samurai residences. Since I prefer to eat dinner out, I stayed at this Hotel with a No Meals Included plan. The Room was clean and I had no complaints about the Facility, but it felt more like a clinic ward than I expected—almost like being hospitalized... I was also a little disappointed that the bed was on the small side. All of the staff were very pleasant, and when I got lost on the way to an izakaya they recommended, they even came with me. The restaurant was wonderful as well. I also enjoyed the free breakfast (rice balls and pork miso soup) the next morning. I would like to stay here again.

Although it is a little away from the Samurai Residence Street, this is a nice Hotel with a calm atmosphere. The interior, paintings, and other furnishings were tasteful and matched the samurai residence style well, adding to the experience. For dinner, we had Reserved in advance at a recommended restaurant listed on the Hotel website and were able to get a table, but it seemed same-day Reservation was not available—so if you plan to Reserve, we recommend making a Reservation ahead of time. It was a wonderful Hotel where you can enjoy just the right amount of sightseeing 분위기.

The staff's service is excellent! The breakfast is delicious!
