Located in the heart of the mountain Onsen area "Ryujin Onsenkyo," "Magokoro no Yado Marui" Marui Ryokan is situated about 15 km towards Shirahama from the original source of Japan's Three Beautifying Onsens, Ryujin Onsen. It is in the center of the village near the Ryujin Administrative Office, and we are grateful to celebrate our 97th anniversary this year. We are often asked, "Isn't it far from the original source?" Our Property has been operating in this location since the predecessor (the current proprietress's father) started a small inn in 1927. Over the years, we have evolved to include an Onsen bath where you can relax while enjoying the river view. With the motto "A Property of sincerity, hospitality with handmade cuisine," we take pride in offering dishes that reflect our unique touch and a natural approach. Just a 5-minute drive to Ryujin Onsen, one of Japan's three most beautiful hot springs. "Komata River House," a private rental Property, offers the entire house for your exclusive use. While it is a simple, single-story house, it exudes a nostalgic charm reminiscent of visiting your grandmother's countryside home, providing a sense of relaxation. The traditional Japanese-style Rooms can be utilized as up to four Rooms (plus a living room and kitchen), allowing families or groups of friends to unwind without worry. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere unique to a tranquil countryside setting. There is no TV, but Wi-Fi is available. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can bring your own ingredients (including seasonings) and enjoy cooking freely. You can also have a barbecue on the terrace directly connected to the kitchen! *BBQ grill rental available for a fee. *Some tableware is provided, but please bring disposable chopsticks, paper plates, etc. Surrounded by abundant nature, you can relax with the sparkling greenery in spring, play in the crystal-clear river in summer, be soothed by the autumn foliage, and savor the warmth of a bonfire or Onsen in winter... The Room is equipped with basic bedding, a small refrigerator, and a portable gas stove. On the deck, you'll find a table and chairs for the number of guests, and the cooking area provides simple cooking utensils available for free. As long as you bring your own ingredients (including seasonings and tableware), the Facility is equipped to ensure a minimal yet comfortable stay. While it may not offer luxury, this comfortable Facility is ideal not only for families and beginner campers but also as a resting spot for seasoned campers. In spring, enjoy the sparkling and vibrant greenery; in summer, play in the crystal-clear river upstream; in autumn, relax with the golden leaves of the natural forest towering before you; and in winter, savor the warmth of a campfire and the Onsen. The night sky seen from the mountains is filled with stars so numerous it feels like a different world! The management building includes a café space offering homemade drinks. A tent sauna (Reservation required) is permanently set up on a private deck, available for exclusive use by the hour, allowing you to relax without worry. Cool down in the natural cold bath flowing below, then enjoy the ultimate relaxation experience while listening to the gentle murmur of the clear stream!
