In December 2023, all guest Rooms will be renovated! Choose from seven types of Rooms, including "ocean-side with stunning views" and "mountain-side with the charm of Onsen steam from the hot spring source." Additionally, in the ocean-side Japanese-Western style Rooms, in-Room dining is available. The cuisine features a creative kaiseki course crafted by the head chef, focusing on seasonal ingredients and premium Oita Wagyu beef. The Onsen offers a unique silky texture with its natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source. Guests can enjoy a relaxing experience in the highly-rated large public bath with an open-air bath and two types of private baths, which are available free of charge. Beppu Showa-en was established in the first year of the Showa era, located in Minami-Tateishi, Beppu City, with 30 guest rooms and a garden. Later, in the third year of the Heisei era, it was relocated to its current site, which was once a thriving gold mine and the former villa site of Shirakawa-kyo. The garden from that time remains intact, and the 6,000-tsubo property includes 11 buildings with detached guest rooms and high-quality onsen sourced from gold veins, still serving long-time patrons as a regular accommodation.
