"Shirogane no Mori" is an "agricultural auberge" created by Yoshihiro Matsuoka, the founder of Kokko Farm (poultry farming), who personally carved out a mountain the size of the Tokyo Dome. It combines a Property, restaurant, Onsen, and farm. All guest Rooms are detached suites, featuring luxurious queen-sized beds. Each Room is also equipped with a private Onsen with natural hot spring water. In April 2021, as a Hotel perched atop the station building adjacent to JR Kumamoto Station's Shirakawa Exit (East Exit), the entire Hotel was designed with the concept of "Kumamoto Goten" to become a new symbol of Kumamoto.
