A long-established Property located on the slopes of Mount Eboshi, one of the five peaks of Mount Aso, preserving the Jigoku Onsen which first opened in 1803. Stepping into the main building, which is over 100 years old and has been renovated after the Kumamoto Earthquake, feels like entering a different world, as if traveling back in time. The Onsen features three different sources, offering 11 baths across four locations, each with unique water qualities and atmospheres. Guests can enjoy the "Suzume no Yu," a "miraculous bath" rich in sulfur content with water bubbling up from the ground, as well as the highly acidic "Moto no Yu" and "Tamago no Yu," choosing baths based on their benefits and purposes. For dinner, a variety of courses are available, including seasonal hot pots, irori hearth dishes, and Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine. Local wild boar and venison, caught by local hunters, offer a rustic and unique taste of Aso. Experience the blessings of magnificent nature through the Onsen and cuisine.

All rooms are detached suite rooms with open-air baths. Located on a vast property of 4,000 tsubo, this exclusive retreat consists of only twelve detached accommodations, all of which are suite rooms. The rooms at Forest Atelier are divided into the Main Building and the Annex. The Main Building features a calm and sophisticated atmosphere with a stone fireplace (imitation). The Annex offers a retro and charming fairy-tale-like ambiance, made with British bricks and old wood.
