Everything is clean throughout.\nThe indoor open-air bath is very convenient and comfortable.\nThe meals are excellent in both quality and quantity. The service is also very polite, with no issues.\nWe stayed with children, and it was a great help that they proactively offered to provide a baby crib and bouncer.\nI’m glad we found such a wonderful Accommodation for the first time in a while.

My wife and I visited from Kyoto. As it had not been long since the renovation, everything was very clean, and we had a comfortable one-night stay. The open-air bath in the guest room lets you fill it yourself—add cold water if it’s too hot, or add hot water if it’s too cool—so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. Both the hot and cold water flow were plentiful, making it a truly stress-free Onsen experience that’s hard to find. The meals were also excellent; each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and I felt the chef must be very talented. If I had to mention one minor complaint, it would have been perfect if we could have seen Mt. Aso clearly from the bath, but I understand that can’t always be helped.

I wasn’t sure if we would be able to come due to the typhoon, but they were very accommodating.\nThe Facility was well maintained, and the dog run was just the right size for our dog, who happily ran around.\nWe really appreciated being given rice for dinner.\nThe Room felt like a living room at home and had all the necessary appliances, such as a rice cooker and microwave, which we could use freely.\nThe owner was also very kind, and I’d like to stay here again when visiting Kumamoto.\nIt was a wonderful trip. Thank you.

This Accommodation features only 10 detached villas, surrounded by rice fields and the deep green of the mountains. You’ll be welcomed by Mi-chan, our resident cat, along with the friendly Kamo team. In the open-air bath attached to your Room, you might even be greeted by a tiny Japanese tree frog—small enough to fit on your fingertip. The meals are delicious and perfectly portioned. All staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay truly comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

As soon as we arrived at the parking lot, Hotel staff came over and helped carry our luggage. The entrance, surrounded by trees, had a lovely atmosphere, and the Room felt comfortable with its modern Japanese style. The private open-air bath was pleasantly lukewarm—perfect for relaxing—while the large public bath was set to around 41°C, which felt just right. The water is clear and neutral in scent and taste, leaving a refreshing feeling after bathing. Dinner was a chef’s creative course menu, and each dish was carefully prepared—we were very satisfied. For us in our 60s, it was almost more than we could finish. The grounds are spacious, with spring water flowing into a pond with koi. The pathways are full of charm as well, but they are somewhat long and include slopes, so older guests should take care. At check-in you can receive feed for the ducks. Ducks (and cats) come close looking for food and are adorable, but they may compete for it; some guests were bitten when feeding directly from their hand, so please be careful. After an unexpected evening rain stopped, we looked outside late at night to find a sky full of stars. On clear summer nights, it seems you could lie back on the terrace couch and enjoy stargazing. I did wish the Room trash bin were a bit larger. The staff were thoughtful in many ways overall, making this a very pleasant stay.

I chose this property because it is close to the airport and conveniently located. Due to time constraints, I was unable to use the dining options, but the Room was more spacious than I expected and had a table, making it comfortable to spend time in. The parking lot is also large and easy to park in.

I’d been looking forward to the opening of La Vista Minami Aso and stayed during the pre-opening period. The previous Hotel also offered a magnificent, expansive view of Mt. Aso, and while that scenery remains unchanged, the interiors and Facility have been completely renewed. I was able to fully enjoy Aso in comfort—from the spacious lobby and Room to the baths. A few small notes: For the welcome drink in the lobby after check-in, I had coffee, but it would be even better if beer were available earlier (not only from 6:00 p.m.) and if decaf coffee were offered. As for dining, dinner was a La Vista–style course meal and breakfast was a buffet. Both featured many ingredients from Kumamoto Prefecture, and everything was delicious. I’d be happy if the breakfast buffet had a slightly wider dessert selection. The baths were wonderful as well—great views of Aso from the large public bath, plus private baths and a sauna. The post-bath ice cream and massage chairs were also a nice touch. It was disappointing that the probiotic milk drinks (Yakult) ran out quickly during my morning bath. The late-night ramen service common to Kyoritsu Resort was delicious (if I may be indulgent, I’d love it if there were two varieties like in Kirishima). Since it was during the pre-opening period, there may have been some areas where staff were still getting used to things; however, their sincere effort really came through. Wishing you all the best toward the grand opening. I’d love to stay again.

We stayed for three nights to enjoy river activities and a meal at the ayu fishing weir. Since our stay did not include dinner, it was convenient to adjust by eating out nearby or having light meals from a convenience store. As this was right after the earthquake, we refrained from playing in the nearby river, but there are many spots around the headwaters where you can enjoy the river, so we still had a wonderful time. We spent rich, relaxing moments watching the river from the Accommodation’s veranda and setting off fireworks in the garden. The Japanese-made fireworks sold at the Accommodation had a charming atmosphere, and we bought some as souvenirs as well. We are truly grateful for the thoughtful hospitality of the staff. They also played with our child, which allowed us as a couple to relax. Kosa Town is conveniently located, everyone is kind, and you can enjoy nature—there’s nothing more to ask for. We will visit again.

The wood-burning stove was a real winter highlight. With the seasonal snowfall, we were able to enjoy a truly magical atmosphere. The BBQ gazebo was very cold, but it was spacious and had sunken seating like a kotatsu, so we could relax and enjoy ourselves. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable, and it was nice to have a side table next to it. I gave the bath 4 stars because it felt a bit small—though that’s probably because I’m big; I think it would be fine for women and children. Also, on the last morning (maybe due to freezing), there was no hot water. Since I take a quick shower in the morning as well as at night, that part was a little disappointing. As for the Facility rating of 4 stars, I think it can’t really be helped: the firewood for the stove was quite thin, so we had to add logs frequently or it seemed like it might go out. Also, one of the gazebo cushions was thin (my hips started to hurt), while another one was large and thick—I wish they were both the same size. That said, everything else—the view, atmosphere, wood-burning stove, BBQ gazebo, and bedroom-was excellent. I’d love to visit again. Thank you!

We stayed here during Obon on August 15 with three generations—eight of us in total, including my daughter and three grandchildren aged 4, 3, and 1. The Accommodation had plenty of toys and books for the children, and they had a great time playing. The owner also gave them a rhinoceros beetle as a gift, which made them very happy. For meals, we rented BBQ equipment for 2,000 yen and enjoyed a barbecue. We thought we would need to start the fire ourselves, but the charcoal was already lit, so we could enjoy the BBQ with ease. The kids kept saying they wanted to stay here forever, so we’d love to come back if we have the chance!

Perfect for solo camping, with fully equipped facilities and nothing to complain about. The manager was friendly and made me feel at ease. The location was excellent.

This was my first stay here. The Room was beautifully designed and very comfortable. The open-air bath, a rock bath kept at the perfect temperature, felt wonderful at any time, and there was also a reclining bath where I could truly relax. The Japanese garden was also stunning and helped me forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The meals used plenty of local ingredients and were delicious. All staff provided very courteous service, and I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

The check-in and check-out process was very easy to understand. The Room was relaxing, and the bedding was fluffy and very comfortable! The bathroom was not a unit bath, so it felt like taking a bath at home. There is a 7-Eleven and Hirai Bento nearby, which was convenient since you can also eat inside. I would like to stay again if I have the chance.

Because we could bring our dog to almost everywhere on the property, we didn’t need to leave them alone in the Room and were able to relax comfortably. Pet amenities, treats, welcome drinks, complimentary sake, marshmallows by the campfire, alcoholic beverages in the refrigerator, ice cream, cooking utensils, seasonings—the list goes on; it truly felt all-inclusive and there was nothing to complain about. After we got home and told our family about it, they said they’d love to go too—so we would definitely like to stay again.

Overall, everything was excellent. The best part was the service during meals. They were very attentive in many ways, which I really appreciated. I would like to stay here again.

Barbecue facilities were available, and it was amazing. We had a wonderful New Year's experience.

The large public bath was spacious and clean. There were three types of saunas, and the löyly was excellent.
