Although I was worried about the earthquake’s impact, I decided to visit from Kumamoto Airport. Perhaps because a week had passed since the quake, I hardly noticed any effects and was able to stay with peace of mind. Above all, I was amazed by how delicious the meals were. Dinner featured duck hot pot, miso soup, and rice cooked in a traditional pot; breakfast included nori seaweed, natto, and French toast. Every dish felt heartfelt, and I ended up eating far more than I expected. The Onsen was just as described in advance and helped relieve my fatigue. It was a truly satisfying stay. Lastly, I asked about the period “.” after Seifuso’s name that had caught my attention. Despite all the hardships you have faced—including the earthquake—I was deeply moved to hear that it represents putting a “.” (period) on these hardships and creating a new Seifuso going forward. Thank you very much. If I have the chance, I would love to stay again.

Everything is clean throughout.\nThe indoor open-air bath is very convenient and comfortable.\nThe meals are excellent in both quality and quantity. The service is also very polite, with no issues.\nWe stayed with children, and it was a great help that they proactively offered to provide a baby crib and bouncer.\nI’m glad we found such a wonderful Accommodation for the first time in a while.

We were a bit anxious as it was right after the Kumamoto earthquakes, but our whole family was able to fully enjoy Aso (Kumamoto). At dinner, the irori hearth-cooked meal was wonderful—the fried tofu and konnyaku were delicious, and the Akaushi beef, Akadori chicken, and horse sashimi were all excellent. Even our son, who usually doesn’t like grilled meat, really enjoyed it. We were also surprised by how many dishes there were at breakfast. Each item was carefully explained to us, and everything was delicious. The rice was especially good—we had seconds again and again. The bath was spacious and very relaxing, and we were happy to be able to try a Goemon bath. As a coffee lover, I was also delighted to grind beans in the Room and enjoy freshly brewed coffee. After we got home, our daughter said she promised Grandma we would go again, and as a family we talked about how much we’d like to return. Thank you very much for your heartfelt hospitality.

I wanted to support a locally run, family-owned Accommodation, so I chose Irifune this time. The moment I stepped inside from the entrance, I was thrilled! After leaving the large public bath in the morning, I relaxed in the lobby with a cup of coffee. Spending unhurried time in the lobby while enjoying the traditional old house atmosphere was wonderful. The Room, the private bath in the Room, and the meals—everything was outstanding! I also purchased a pair of geta sandals. From now on, every time I wear them, I’ll remember Irifune and enjoy that lingering feeling in my everyday life. If I use them as indoor slippers, I’ll have more chances to wear them, so I plan to use them indoors. To all the staff: when I come back to Kumamoto, Irifune will be my only choice for a Reservation! My wife and I visited from Kyoto. As it had not been long since the renovation, everything was very clean, and we had a comfortable one-night stay. The open-air bath in the guest room lets you fill it yourself—add cold water if it’s too hot, or add hot water if it’s too cool—so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. Both the hot and cold water flow were plentiful, making it a truly stress-free Onsen experience that’s hard to find. The meals were also excellent; each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and I felt the chef must be very talented. If I had to mention one minor complaint, it would have been perfect if we could have seen Mt. Aso clearly from the bath, but I understand that can’t always be helped.

I wasn’t sure if we would be able to come due to the typhoon, but they were very accommodating.\nThe Facility was well maintained, and the dog run was just the right size for our dog, who happily ran around.\nWe really appreciated being given rice for dinner.\nThe Room felt like a living room at home and had all the necessary appliances, such as a rice cooker and microwave, which we could use freely.\nThe owner was also very kind, and I’d like to stay here again when visiting Kumamoto.\nIt was a wonderful trip. We were worried that the earthquake might have caused damage, but when we asked in advance, we were told there was no particular impact and that we could feel at ease, so we decided to visit. The area around Aso was cooler than Kumamoto City and very comfortable. For the open-air bath in the Room, they showed us how to fill it with Onsen water when showing us around, and since it is available 24 hours a day, we were able to enjoy a relaxing soak at night and again in the morning. This time we chose a Plan with breakfast only, but there were many small dishes beautifully arranged and pleasing to the eye, and the rice cooked in a pot was also very delicious. This is an Accommodation we would like to visit again for a relaxing stay.

As soon as we arrived at the parking lot, Hotel staff came over and helped carry our luggage. The entrance, surrounded by trees, had a lovely atmosphere, and the Room felt comfortable with its modern Japanese style. The private open-air bath was pleasantly lukewarm—perfect for relaxing—while the large public bath was set to around 41°C, which felt just right. The water is clear and neutral in scent and taste, leaving a refreshing feeling after bathing. Dinner was a chef’s creative course menu, and each dish was carefully prepared—we were very satisfied. For us in our 60s, it was almost more than we could finish. The grounds are spacious, with spring water flowing into a pond with koi. The pathways are full of charm as well, but they are somewhat long and include slopes, so older guests should take care. At check-in you can receive feed for the ducks. Ducks (and cats) come close looking for food and are adorable, but they may compete for it; some guests were bitten when feeding directly from their hand, so please be careful. After an unexpected evening rain stopped, we looked outside late at night to find a sky full of stars. On clear summer nights, it seems you could lie back on the terrace couch and enjoy stargazing. I did wish the Room trash bin were a bit larger. The staff were thoughtful in many ways overall, making this a very pleasant stay.

This Accommodation features only 10 detached villas, surrounded by rice fields and the deep green of the mountains. You’ll be welcomed by Mi-chan, our resident cat, along with the friendly Kamo team. In the open-air bath attached to your Room, you might even be greeted by a tiny Japanese tree frog—small enough to fit on your fingertip. The meals are delicious and perfectly portioned. All staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay truly comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

The open-air bath is spacious and the views are wonderful. The proprietress at the dining area and the staff offered warm, unpretentious hospitality and thoughtful care. Of course, a good Accommodation has great meals and Facility, but it reminded me again that it is ultimately made complete by the people. I was personally very happy that our futons were not put away during breakfast.

We stayed here for a birthday celebration trip. They were very helpful even before our stay, and my partner was truly delighted. We were extremely satisfied with everything, including the food, the open-air bath in the Room, and the staff’s service. It was an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again.

Both breakfast and dinner offer a wide selection, including meat, fish, tempura, noodles, salads—everything you could want. The food is delicious. There are many kinds of desserts, and you can also take them back to your Room to enjoy. The herbal tea was excellent. The staff’s friendly greetings were wonderful. It’s a Hotel that’s hard to book, so if you get the chance, definitely give it a try.

We were able to relax at the Aso Onsen. Both Dondoko-yu and the Hotel Onsen were great. We also enjoyed the meals, which included alcohol and drinks. We drove from the Yoshinogari Historical Park in Saga Prefecture to Aso, Kumamoto, and then to the Oka Castle Ruins in Taketa City, Oita, and it was comfortable and enjoyable.

There was a great selection, from treats like crab and grilled eel steak to local specialties such as ramen and dango-jiru. They also had ice cream for dessert, which was very satisfying. I used the large public bath early, so it wasn’t crowded and I could relax. There is also a private family bath, making it convenient for families with small children.

This was my second stay. This time, I booked a No Meals Included plan to visit a nearby sushi restaurant. I’m not sure if it was due to the earthquake, but the Onsen was not available, so we could only use the bath in our Room or the showers in the large public bath. As a result, we received a small refund. I hope it can be repaired soon.

My wife and I visit Aso a few times a year, and as we’ve gotten older, we’ve found ourselves spending more time relaxing rather than trying to see everything. We made an immediate Reservation based on the Accommodation name “Nonbiri Papa” and its great dining Reviews. After checking in, we had some time before dinner, so we started by unwinding in the private bath. Then it was dinner—the meal we’d been looking forward to! Starting with an Aso vegetable salad, followed by a handmade bacon cream stew wrapped in pastry, Amakusa sea bream, and Akaushi beef stew—everything was outstanding and we were completely satisfied. Since the Room is a separate detached building, we could relax without worrying about anyone around us. Surrounded by nature, with the owner’s warm smile and delicious food, it was the perfect laid-back getaway.

The star-filled night sky was breathtaking, and the night trekking—something you rarely get to experience—was simply amazing. I was able to make irreplaceable memories with my 8-year-old daughter. Thank you so much.

We were completely satisfied overall! The staff kindly checked in to make sure our dog was comfortable, which we really appreciated. The Room was spotless and very clean. The amenities provided were stylish as well. Everything for the light BBQ and the paella ingredients was fresh, delicious, and we were very happy with it. We brought our own alcoholic drinks. Making hot sandwiches in the morning was a great experience too, since there’s an easy-to-follow instruction sheet. It was hot during the day, but at night the temperature became comfortable, and we could relax with our dog in a hammock. The ger tent we stayed in was a little farther away, so we weren’t bothered by other families’ dogs. The only downside is that there are some spots where the internet connection is weak, but it’s actually nice for unplugging and chilling away from everyday life. We’d definitely recommend this place to friends who have dogs.

We were able to spend a relaxing time surrounded by nature. We are truly grateful and very satisfied with both the Onsen and the meals.
