Around Ōzu Golf Club × Highly rated for dining at Hotel·Ryokan

With the prominent sign and easy-to-park lot, we arrived without getting lost. The staff were pleasant and welcoming at check-in. There was a wide variety of welcome drinks after check-in, and my child enjoyed them after the bath. The bath area was very clean, so we could relax and soak at ease. It seems they prepared a ladies’ Room for us, and I was able to enjoy a luxurious stay with the hair dryer and nano steamer. My child really liked the Hotel and says they want to stay again—if we travel, they want it to be Super Hotel. I also found this to be a Hotel I’d like to use again if I have the chance. On August 3, the annual Iyo-Ozu Hijikawa Fireworks Festival is held, so I made a Reservation for a Room with a close-up view of Ozu Castle. In the early evening, we finished dinner at the Hotel’s French restaurant “Le Un,” then returned to our cool, air-conditioned Room and waited excitedly for the fireworks to begin, sipping wine while admiring the illuminated Ozu Castle. Ozu is known as “Little Kyoto,” and in summer the basin heat and humidity linger even at night. But because of this terrain, the sound of the fireworks echoes off the surrounding mountains into a tremendous roar—more powerful than any fireworks I’ve ever experienced. This time I discovered a new style of Hotel created by renovating historic traditional houses scattered throughout Ozu, making it a truly meaningful summer trip.

We stayed as a family of three. Free parking is available. The Room was spacious, so we could relax comfortably. The Room, bathroom, and toilet were all large and clean. It was helpful that they lent us a phone charger and an extension cord. There are also restaurants and a drugstore near the Hotel, which was convenient. We would like to stay again if we have the chance. One downside was that the entrance door opens inward, so it was a bit difficult to get in and out when shoes were in the way, but the staff were kind and the service was great, so I give it 5 stars.

Close to the interchange, and easy to find. Free parking is right in front. Breakfast is included. Drinks were also available in the space next to the front desk, and we enjoyed coffee and juice. They also sold bread. There were a few places nearby to eat, but the convenience store was a bit far. Very convenient if you’re traveling by car. The Room was spacious and clean. We’d love to stay again when we visit Ozu.

This was my second stay, and I really appreciate that you continue to welcome guests with multiple pets. It has a kitchen, so we cooked for ourselves. Unlike a business hotel, it’s an older building, but it’s spacious and seems like it would be fun for a large group. The owner said it’s often used for training camps. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance.
