This is what a great Accommodation should be. It met my expectations—and exceeded them. From the complimentary herb water made with herbs from the garden to the various cordial syrups and even a sake bath, every detail was thoughtfully considered. The olive kaiseki dinner left a strong impression of Shodoshima. I truly hope to return.

The top-floor scenic bath was wonderful; the Onsen was very relaxing. It was great how the view changed between evening and morning. For dinner, since I’m not a fan of buffets, I chose the special kaiseki course. There were many dishes, and everything was delicious—from fresh fish to a tender filet steak. The Room was a modern twin, and the beds were spacious and comfortable. In the lobby there was a coffee machine, and it was nice that you could have as many cups as you liked during the available hours. If I visit Shodoshima again, I’d definitely like to stay here again.

It was my first time visiting Shodoshima. The two-meal Plan at this price is an excellent value. Sashimi was served with five different ways to enjoy it (local soy sauce, olive oil, etc.), and every dish made with local ingredients was very satisfying. The Facility feels a bit dated, but the Room, the bath, the views from the restaurant, and the wonderful service from all the staff greatly increased our overall satisfaction. Thank you very much for taking care of us. I would like to stay again.

We visited with my daughter’s family—four generations in total. As soon as you enter, the ocean is right in front of you through the large glass windows. There was a big pool, and everything was set up for a BBQ. The kids never got bored—they ran around the living room and went up to the second floor, having a great time until it was time to leave. It’s a very clean Facility, and the location is perfect. We’re already saying we’d love to stay again. Please note that there are no seasonings or plastic wrap provided, so bring what you need. Also, the rice cooker was unusual—it’s the type where you add water to the outer pot, which was hard to figure out. I think it would be helpful to have written instructions. I was truly moved by the ocean view stretching out right in front of me. The sea can be seen from every Room, and the sunsets in particular were absolutely breathtaking—I found myself watching them and losing track of time. The Room was spacious and spotless throughout, making for a very comfortable stay. The bath was also large, and having a sauna on-site allowed me to relax at my own pace. I stayed with my dog, and it was incredibly helpful that there was not only a dog run, but also supplies such as a crate and pet toilet sheets provided in each Room. I think this is an Accommodation where guests with dogs can feel at ease. The surroundings were very quiet, and I enjoyed a peaceful time listening to the sound of the waves. Everything—from the scenery to the Facility—was wonderful, and it’s an Accommodation I would definitely like to visit again.

I stayed at the end of February, and I was grateful that the Room was warmed up as I had informed them of my check-in time. All Rooms were kept clean, allowing for a pleasant stay. There were also amenities provided, and coffee was available. We enjoyed playing card games with the children. The view of Setouchi from the living room with a large kotatsu was beautiful, and I would like to visit in different seasons as well.

We stayed here as a family. The exterior and interior were stylish, and it was very comfortable. We had two 1-year-old children who enjoyed running around. The location was excellent, with the beach just a short walk away. We also used the grill for a BBQ. It was nice that plastic wrap and aluminum foil were provided, but when we went to use the aluminum foil, it was empty. Other than that, we were very satisfied with our stay. It seems to have been recently renovated, and it feels clean and welcoming. The location is by the sea, and it’s refreshing to enjoy an ocean view from the window. Highly recommended.

We stayed with seven people across three generations: my wife’s parents and our children. It’s a truly wonderful seaside villa where you could imagine living, and the appliances and Facility were all stylish, high-end choices. The large TV in the living room was especially impressive. Our 7- and 4-year-old kids had a blast playing in the terrace pool. Our parents were also able to relax under the same roof with their grandchildren, and they seemed very satisfied. This was our first time staying at this kind of villa, but we would definitely like to use a similar property again for trips with parents and children.
