Around Onomichi City Art Museum × Accommodation With Relaxing Welcome LoungeHighly rated for dining at Hotel·Ryokan

I visited again. Even in the summer heat, many people were sightseeing in Onomichi. This time, I rode the ropeway for the first time—it climbs all at once and was truly thrilling. At a museum along the way to the Hotel, there was an exhibition about cats that felt very soothing. At the café, I enjoyed sweets with their recommended pairing. Dinner featured a variety of ingredients that went perfectly with wine. Breakfast was so delicious that I had a second serving of rice. I also enjoyed the letter room for the first time. I used to study calligraphy, so once I started writing different things with a brush pen, time flew by. It was also fun to see other guests’ creations. Spending summer in Onomichi while sharing everyone’s memories was wonderful too.

I reserved a Room on the side with views of the Shimanami Kaido. The view was wonderful, and at night the illuminated Onomichi Bridge was beautiful—I kept the curtains open and enjoyed it for hours. Mukaishima was right in front of me, which sparked my interest, so I took a ferry over the next day and explored. The in-room amenities were minimal, but everything was thoroughly cleaned and very comfortable.

It’s within walking distance from the station, but it’s a bit far. However, there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it wasn’t a problem. The front desk staff were kind and friendly. They also accommodated a change to the breakfast time from what I had told them in advance, and I was very satisfied with the breakfast.

This is a nice Hotel with a spacious, clean parking lot.

It was my first time staying at a capsule Hotel, and the inside was spacious and the bedding was soft, which I really liked. The complimentary drinks were great, and the amenities were also very good. The value for money was excellent. I would like to stay again if I have the chance.

We arrived by rental car. At first, even with Google Maps we couldn’t find the Accommodation’s parking area and were a bit confused, but when we called the Accommodation, a staff member came to pick us up right away. Everyone on the staff was kind and pleasant. The meals were also delicious. No matter the time of day, the view from our Room of Onomichi’s townscape and Senkoji Temple was truly beautiful. We did notice some noise from footsteps in the hallway and doors opening and closing, but we were still able to rest well. We would love to stay here again next time we visit Onomichi.
