As one of the traditional buildings within the Kurashiki Riverbank Traditional Building Preservation District, protected under the Cultural Properties Protection Act, we have preserved its exterior while operating as a Ryokan for over a century, upholding Kurashiki's spirit of hospitality. A traditional Japanese Ryokan, "Ryokan Tsurugata," where you can fully immerse yourself in the historic charm of Kurashiki. Located in the heart of the Bikan Historical Quarter, this distinguished Ryokan boasts a history spanning approximately 280 years. Despite its modest size, it retains traces of its prosperous past in every corner. Enjoy exquisite dishes prepared by our head chef using fresh seafood from Seto Inland Sea and local ingredients, served in the comfort of your Room. "Yoruya" is a culinary accommodation with 13 rooms, located in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, aiming to provide guests with an experience that reflects the essence of Kurashiki through dining and accommodation. The 110-year-old traditional building, originally constructed during the Meiji era as an annex for a kimono shop, has been renovated and expanded to include 13 guest rooms, a U-shaped dining area with 16 seats, and a wine bar open to non-staying guests. At "Yoruya," we embrace the changing seasons not just by the calendar's four divisions but by incorporating ingredients and cooking methods inspired by Japan's twenty-four solar terms and seventy-two micro-seasons, offering a culinary experience that expresses Kurashiki's local culture.
