This is the oldest hot spring in the San’in region, and it’s also a natural free-flowing Onsen—an absolute must for an Onsen enthusiast like me (laugh). The building does feel old because of its long history, but that’s part of its charm, and I hope it will continue for many years to come. The meals were a bit too much for me as an older guest; I would have preferred smaller portions with higher quality. The staff were wonderful. Thank you very much.

The seafood-focused meal prepared for my partner, who can’t eat meat, was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed both the taste and the generous portions. Thank you very much. The hot spring water was also pleasantly soft and wonderful.

It was a relaxing and peaceful stay at the accommodation. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and the food was delicious. I was already full after enjoying Matsuba crab, but the tempura served later was so perfectly fried that I ate it all. The bathhouse had a charming atmosphere with great Onsen water, though a higher chair would have been appreciated. As I age, I find traditional accommodations more comforting to my heart, though my body is starting to feel otherwise. Since it was a room with a bed type, there were no inconveniences inside the room. I hope to visit again while I'm still able to use stairs. I felt that Iwai Onsen has remained unchanged for decades, and its unchanging nature is part of its charm.

We chose this place because we wanted to enjoy live Matsuba crab, and it was exactly what we hoped for. The course included a comparison with Seiko crab, and we were very satisfied. They also kindly explained how to eat everything in detail. When we mentioned we couldn’t finish the final rice porridge, they prepared it for breakfast the next morning. Because it was cold outside, we used the private family bath. You fill it yourself, and I liked it so much I went in twice. The water was wonderfully silky and soothing. At checkout, we were happy to receive a souvenir of freshly grilled chikuwa, but above all, we were truly satisfied with the landlady’s fun conversation, warm smile, and heartfelt hospitality.

The meals are absolutely delicious—carefully handmade with attention to detail and filled with natural goodness that nourishes both body and soul. At FURAHA, you'll feel fulfilled—body, mind, and heart alike. This time I chose a course that included a relaxation massage session. The use of natural plant-based oils combined with expert techniques provided ultimate relaxation & refreshment. The Room decor is incredibly charming—white tones paired with lace create an atmosphere women will adore; it’s so cozy! I visited during summer but am sure each season brings new ways to enjoy this place. FURAHA is somewhere you'll want to visit again and again. I hope many people get to experience this relaxation & refreshment—but honestly? It’s so wonderful I almost want to keep it a secret. Thank you so much!

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed here—at least four. As the title says, it’s five seconds to the beach. The ocean view from the living room is stunning. The sea was a bit rough this time, but the contrast between the white crests and the blue-green water made it even more striking. The Southeast Asian–style interior you can see in the photos is wonderful and exceptionally clean—nothing to complain about. It’s probably among the very best vacation rentals. Personally, I was a little disappointed that the BBQ Facility I’d enjoyed up until last year is no longer available.

The hospitality of the staff is exceptional. The meals are fresh, plentiful, and prepared with great care—absolutely outstanding. The amount of crab was so generous that I couldn't finish it, which I felt truly sorry about. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options to enjoy. The service was top-notch as well. The sauna and fitness machines are well-equipped, making it a thoroughly excellent Facility.
