This was a wonderfully rustic Onsen that Onsen lovers will adore. The naturally gushing spring water flows abundantly, and you can truly feel the power of nature. It also gets very lively with day-trip visitors. We stayed with the conger eel (hamo) course, and what surprised us most—given the simple exterior—was how outstanding the cuisine was. It was like a high-end kaiseki meal: beautifully presented, with seasonal touches so refined it almost felt too beautiful to eat. The soup course even featured delicate dew-like droplets, and as we enjoyed an authentic kaiseki course, we were warmed by the chefs’ heartfelt hospitality. It was our first time having an all-hamo menu from start to finish in so many different preparations! Even delicacies like liver and swim bladder were included—proof of exceptional freshness. The hot pot ingredients featured white vegetables and tofu chosen to match the hamo’s translucent look; even that alone felt like early summer had arrived, and it was subtly garnished with fresh green maple leaves misted lightly for a dewy finish. We were truly moved. Our whole family agreed there’s no more luxurious hamo course than this. With spring quality worthy of being called a hidden hot spring and cuisine that delights both the eyes and palate, it felt incredibly indulgent—and we’re grateful it’s so close to Osaka. The staff were wonderful, and the Accommodation was impeccably clean throughout. This was the most impressive stay we’ve had in recent years!

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of two nights for work and sightseeing. A typhoon was approaching at the time, so unfortunately it rained, but it was helpful that I could get to the nearby Don Quijote via the covered shopping arcade. If it hadn’t been raining, I planned to rent a bicycle and explore various places, so that part was disappointing—but there’s nothing you can do about the weather. The front desk staff will answer properly if you ask, but there were some differences from the information listed, so I’d like to share them. There are two washing machines on the rooftop: one is a standard washer (I was told it costs 300 yen with self-reporting; if it’s sunny, you might be able to hang laundry on the rooftop), and the other is a coin-laundry type machine that washes and dries up to 3 kg for 600 yen—so it wasn’t free at all. (I should have taken photos…) What I liked: ・Affordable access to a nearby public bath (closed on Wednesdays) ・Even solo travelers can enjoy a spacious twin Room ・A view of the river next door from the window ・Luggage storage available until 13:00 even after checkout Also, during a Multiple Night Stay, cleaning is done once every two days, and new bath towels and face towels are placed in a bag and hung on your doorknob. Overall it was comfortable, and I’d like to stay again if I have another opportunity. Thank you very much.

The location was excellent, with a small beach behind the accommodation where we could enjoy exploring the shore. The view of the sea from our room was stunning, and we could gaze at it endlessly. Dinner was part of the standard plan, and every dish was delicious and satisfying. The standout dishes were the sashimi and grilled salt-seasoned red shrimp, which were exceptional. Even the rice was sweet, glossy, and incredibly tasty—it left a lasting impression. We also appreciated having a private dining space where our family could relax and enjoy our meal together. Although we didn’t use the bath facilities, everything in this older accommodation was well-maintained and very clean, making for a comfortable stay. This has become an accommodation we would love to visit again!

I used this place for a reunion, and the sunset view from the Room was truly beautiful. The next morning, the weather was great, and the ocean view was stunning. The staff who assisted us responded to numerous requests and questions with kindness and without hesitation. The food was not only delicious but also included thoughtful touches like ice cream service, which made it very satisfying. The bathwater was quite hot (personal preference), and I thought having curtains in the changing area would be even better, but everything felt clean overall. The beautiful scenery and delicious food became truly memorable experiences. Thank you very much!

We stayed here when our grandchild competed in the Inter-High School Championships. Above all, the person who assisted us at check-in was wonderful. We truly appreciate how kindly and attentively they helped us because of the heat—bringing us plenty of ice and even lending us an umbrella when we went out. Of course, the Room and the bath were both spacious, and it’s a Hotel we would love to use again. Thank you very much.

I stayed for business purposes and found the accommodation recently renovated with a modern hotel design. It was small yet cozy, offering a relaxing stay. The shower provided hot water, which was great, and the bathtub was spacious. However, it lacked a reheating function, so filling the tub took some time, which was the only downside. The owner was very kind and accommodating. Despite our flight delay causing us to miss dinner time, they willingly adjusted our meal plan. Additionally, they provided shuttle service to our work site in the Kada area the next day, which was extremely helpful as taxis are not available in that region. They also offer shuttle service to Kada Station if you notify them in advance at check-in. Next time, I’d like to visit with my family for sea bream fishing!

Although breakfast is not normally provided, at check-in we received two sweet buns, a carton of milk, a boiled egg, and salt. In addition, from 7:00 a.m., you can try an onigiri service on a trial basis—said to be exceptionally delicious (they make it fresh and fill it with your choice of ingredients).

Thank you for having us. This was our first time staying in a cottage-style Accommodation, and it was spacious, flexible, and very comfortable. We also appreciated the free parking. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use the Onsen because it didn’t fit our schedule, but we’d love to try it next time if we have the chance. The Room was clean and nice as well! One small thing: there was dust on the beam above the bed, and since it’s right above your face when you sleep, it bothered us a bit. That was the only issue—otherwise we had a very comfortable stay. My wife and I stayed here together. For the past five years or so, we’ve been traveling out of the prefecture about once every month or two. We’re not the type to spend a lot on where we stay. New chain Hotels aren’t bad, but sometimes the cleaning isn’t thorough or the service feels a bit careless. This time, I thought it might be nice to stay at a slightly older Hotel, so we chose Business Hotel Katsuya. The Room (Japanese-style with a unit bath) and the shared bathhouse are a bit dated, but they are very well maintained, so we had a comfortable stay. The staff were courteous, and breakfast was delicious Japanese food (rice, salted grilled salmon, ham and salad, pickles, seasoned nori seaweed, egg tofu, small side dish with vinegar dressing, and miso soup). Coffee was also included as self-service, which we appreciated. Thanks to that, we were able to start the next morning feeling refreshed and enjoy sightseeing all day. I’d like to stay here again when traveling to Wakayama.

My work was at Wakayama Castle Hall, and the location was convenient, situated between the hall and the station. At first, I was a little unsure if I had the right place. The Room had a washing machine, which I made full use of. This time I stayed solo, but it also had a loft. The price was reasonable, so I would like to stay again if I have the chance.

The building and facilities are old, but I was able to stay comfortably at a reasonable price.

I walked from Kyoshi Station; it took about 20 minutes on foot. The area is quiet with very few houses nearby. The Room had twin beds. There was a refrigerator and a microwave. Everything was properly cleaned. There was also a cup noodle vending machine. It was inexpensive and good value.
