“BLANCHETTE” in “Blanchette Nanki-Shirahama” is a coined name that unites three elements: “cachette,” meaning “hideaway” in French; “blanc,” representing Shirahama’s “white”; and “fourchette,” the French word for “fork,” a symbol of fine dining. We chose this name with the hope that you will savor delicious cuisine in an elegant, high-quality setting—like relaxing at a private villa. This auberge delivers Shirahama’s charm, inspiration, healing, and surprise through both food and heartfelt hospitality.

We feature a large public bath with natural hot spring water sourced directly from the Nanki Shirahama Onsen, as well as a private hinoki cypress bath where you can feel the essence of traditional Japanese beauty. For dining, we provide dishes crafted with local ingredients under the supervision of Chef Ryohei Hayashi from the Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant "Tenoshima" in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
