Maruto Soy Sauce, Nara Prefecture’s oldest soy sauce brewery, has been reborn as a stayable soy sauce brewery.Founded in 1689, Maruto Soy Sauce was once purveyor to the Imperial Household—so esteemed that members of the Imperial Family even stayed here. After the war, however, the brewery was forced to close when it could no longer secure satisfactory ingredients. The exterior and layout have been preserved as much as possible. While incorporating original fittings and antique materials from the time, the Property is equipped with modern amenities, including air conditioning systems, to ensure a comfortable stay. It offers two spacious Rooms, each with a unique atmosphere, featuring a courtyard and a large Shigaraki ware bathtub.
