"Umi no Hotel Shimahana Residence Villa" was born as a villa of Umi no Hotel Shimahana, located in a quiet resort area centered around a yacht harbor on the east coast of Awaji Island, within the Santopia Marina.Among the three villa buildings limited to six groups per day, the Grand Villa building with an Onsen open-air bath is a luxurious space of about 360 square meters that can be exclusively used by just one group of guests. Originally, it was a culinary Ryokan called "Umekiya Ryokan," which had been in operation since the Meiji era. At the time, it was a familiar presence for the local community, even being used for weddings and gatherings. However, it was eventually closed, much to the regret of many. In December 2019, the Property was renovated while preserving the charm of the old Ryokan, and reopened as "Umekiya." We strive to create a space where you can feel the atmosphere woven by time while adapting to modern travel styles.
